Edmundo Castillo’s collection for Sergio Rossi was all about bold color, whether it was in richly hued skins or fruity confections

They're showing resort collections for shoes and handbags now?

Isn't the concept of a resort fashion show silly enough?

Absolutely agree. As much as I like Sergio Rossi, this is a bit too much.

i think chopard (the jewellery house) also released a Croisiere collection recently! cruise it's expanding so much we'll be very soon getting cruise clothes, cruise food, cruise starbucks coffee, cruise shoes and cruise cruises... CRAZY!

I don't think it is silly at all to show cruise collections for accessories. I'm not even sure that it is all that new either. Normally a look book is put out around this time of year and sent to press directly, however, in a time when cruise is growing at a rapid pace, it would be silly for a design house, of any magnitude to not compete. Simple business idea IMO.

As for the pieces, I like the python clutch and red/white pieces

i was surprised to see Rossi here, as i only know him as an accesorie producer. guess i wasn't too wrong.

You are totally right! cruise collections started growing dramatically probably since chanel and then dior started doing bigger and bigger shows for it. It got so big even zara or massimo dutti ended up calling their collections "cruise".
It's just funny that they specifically need the Cruise or Resort pretext to introduce new products to the stores, it's not just another collection but cruise! (when the actual collections have little to do with cruising references:p)
