Sessilee wanted to chat with you guys and she couldn't remember any of her FS account info, so I invited Sessilee to rejoin.
Sessie had several offers from wonderful agencies including Women and Trump but Major's president made her a fantastic offer that she just couldn't refuse.

Great to hear that you're happy Sessilee, I always thought that IMG did slow down careers of Caroline W and Marija V especially since they switched from a great agency, like Women. Was Major your final decision or were there other options?
I'm kind of confused but didn't you already have a different account?

even i would have loved to see her at women or trump, i'm glad she's happy at major, and that she was offered a sweet deal from the major's president (katia sherman, i believe)

Oh wow I believe Sessilee would have been the only "black" model on the Women's board (if I'm not mistaken), talk about an amazing exposure especially now when the management is so strong(I could be a tad biased since I love W). However, Sessilee knows best, what her career may involve and what not. If I were in her seat I'd definitely have a hard decision to make. As long as you're happy Sessilee, that's all what counts.

She would do amazing if she signed with Women! Like |PerfectTonight| said, Women is extremely strong and popular now. However, Women also has the amazing Jourdan Dunn (and Selita Ebanks) but that would still be great exposure for her. Speaking of black models in Womens, what does Caroline Ribeiro, Katja and Sabrina Jales count as?

Definitely not black, rather Latinas! Jourdan and Selita are no way near Sessilee's forté when it comes to modeling. Jourdan is young and Selita is under exclusive contract with Victoria's Secrets I believe. I always thought Sessilee's and Kinee's looks were perfect for Women and much stronger than majority of the black models on the board.

Oh thanks. I know this is not the Jourdan thread but she has really good potential to become huge. No one cares about Selita anyways. To keep my post on topic, I think that Sessilee is right, now she's like something Major in a small agency and not like just another model in a great agency. All the better for her.

Totally depends on the reputation type the agency has. Considering the latest success that Women/Supreme has had combined with the facts that the majority of their models are working a lot, Sessilees' chances would rather be developing. Major on the other hand may have offered Sessilee a great contract deal but marketing wise they're pretty weak. They need someone like Sessilee to boost their status.
Hopefully this happens now that Sessilee is with them, because I'd hate for her to not get any editorial/runway work. I have to say though that Major fresh face board looks pretty onedimensional!

Reminesing
Here are some early photos of Sessilee. The ones of her on the beach with the scarf on her head are pre-model photos. We still lived in Florida and was just realizing that this 13 year-old girl of mine had something special.
The other photos were test shots that I had taken of her right before we came to New York on vacation to go to agencies. These are the photos that got her discovered at IMG Models' open call. She was one of only two models that year who was discovered at their open call and thousands of girls attend their weekly open call. I prayed sooo hard for her that day, so much that I was in tears sitting on the floor of their lobby.
