Celebrating his 20th year in the bauble biz, jeweler to the stars—and, by stars, we mean icons like David Bowie, Elton John, Bjork and, okay, Isabella Blow—Shaun Leane is set to launch a full range of black and white diamonds in 2005 that would give Elizabeth Taylor pause. Buzz kill: there'll likely be a waiting list for the former goldsmith's rock candies, which will make their first appearance at Colette before hitting other specialty boutiques. Meanwhile, on a more affordable front, but still lasting forever, is Leane's trademark silverwork, so well-crafted that it's practically body sculpture. Sought after for collections ranging from Givenchy Couture to Philip Treacy, the jewelry hit a high note when Alexander McQueen commissioned what can only be described as human antlers for his Voss collection in 2001. These went straight to the vaults, but other pierce-ready objects from Leane, like this silver and leather bracelet, are available at Atelier New York, 125 Crosby St., 212-941-8435.
