shoe storages, racks and cabinets

Hello everyone
I'm working for Marie Claire Maison Turkey and for october I'll make a dossier about shoe storages, racks and cabinets... Do you have any interesting ideas to help me? And if you find any photos for them can you post them =)

i just have a couple of shoe shelves from wal-mart. i think they were only about $13 each. they're stackable and do the job just fine, especially if you're pressed for space.

When you take off your shoes you should put them in shoe trees immediately while the leather is still warm. This will re-shape them. Have shoe-trees for the 4-5 pairs of shoes you wear most often. Advice given to me by a SA at Ferragamo years ago.

At the moment I have two shoe racks, the kind that are flat and made so you can buy as many as you want and stack them ontop of eachother. My mom has a thing you can hang on your door and slip shoes into the pockets (my friend used to have one on her door to hold beanie babies). I personally like the shoe racks better. What I really want is the kind like in shoe stores so I can stack them all nice and neatly together to also display them (and to have more room!)

ive been tempted to get those clear plastic shoe boxes to put shoes in. i think you can get them at the container store or ikea.

does anyone else have these clear plastic boxes? i think they are made out of lucite or cheaper plastic.

I go to uni and purchased a shoe rack like I have at home because i have a fair amount of heels and wedges that can not just lay on the floor. Unforunately there is not enough room in the closet for them! I'm thinking about getting a hanging mesh like shoe rack.

Anything that takes up a small amount of space is ideal. I believe that hanging items are becoming more in demand. Personaly I think that shoes should be on display so something clear that doesn't take away too much from the shoe would be fantastic.
