Sibylle Bergemann (*1941 Berlin)
she was the fashion photographer of east germany, next to arno fischer, once teacher and later husband. she also founded agentur ostkreuz (www.ostkreuz.de). i think her pictures very nicely transport a spirit that was often seen in black & white photography of the eighties: romantic, urban, a little forlorn. it is surprising how some of her images correspond with lindbergh's work from the same era, nevertheless, it seems very personal.

gah, how come I missed this last week?.
thank you, estella. I've never been to Berlin but she seems to capture a certain kind of solitude that I always associated with that city, very silent but you can still see intensity and even eccentricity through the eyes of these people, I love it.
