Versatile pieces that, much like her jacket, will no doubt come in handy next season.

I actually think her style is more renowned than her beauty or acting. As such, if I was her I'd try and associate myself with more fashion-oriented films.

I was thinking beauty (what else?). I probably should have specified that I meant her current style, which is not very interesting. She does wear some great pieces, but that is about it.

As with most women, I actually think she's getting more beautiful with age. Pit her recent Allure cover against Vogue's Jan 06 one. Then she looked very run of the mill to me. Now there's some intensity, stronger cheekbones.

Her style was all she had for years. It's what carried her career. Her style and her personal intrigue. I'm sensing that she's trying to move away from that idea. To prove that she's more than a style icon, but I'm not sure it will stick. Good luck to her though.

Well, I think that much is true. And she's doing a good job thus far. Her fashion presence is still there, but it's not overwhelming her work. She was excellent in High Rise and The Lost City of Z, and she's getting positive notices for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She had to play a few boring wife roles to get there, but she burned a few bridges in Hollywood, so it's good to see that she has made amends.

Agree - very good in High Rise.
And she's evolved from being strictly Boho. Now she pulls off elegant and ladylike, as well as preppy and laidback.
