I remember that episode mikejames. I always assumed it was her own, as I had seen shots of her with it before. I doubt she has two thalasa blues, but that one did look smaller than this one.

If one were to look at a past issue of i-D I believe there is a male model holding one, and it looks huge even with him.

I believe the travel Birkin I saw was a bit smaller than the one in the model's hand. I think it was just a bit bigger than the Balenciaga voyage bag and it was retailed for like 10 thousand dollars.

SJP/Carrie was with the 30cm Birkin when she was accompanying Samantha in her chemotherapy session.

Carrie used the thalassa blue 35cm Birkin in an episode from the season she was pregnant. She used the bag with a green Juicy Couture babydoll dress. She was having ice-cream with her gay best friend (forgot name) in the park where they bumped into Heather Graham.

As for SJP's blue birkin that is the topic of this thread, that is in the infamous, totally hard to get Blue Jean colour. Not sure about the size but could be 40cm or the garagantuan travel size one...

Wow - someone REALLY knows their birkins AND the Sex & the City episodes! I'm impressed!! Obviously watching countless number of reruns (dvd, tnt or cable) hasn't really left a tatooed blueprint.

I just wanted to mention that I did see a black travel birkin at my local Hermes boutique. I believe that a recent Vogue article quoted those babies at around $130, 000. But then again, I could be wrong again...

Totally agree.

The one in the episode is a 35cm thalassa blue, a bit darker than Blue jean.

Her gay best friend is called Standford Blatch.

The one in the picture should be a 40cm, given that she is 5'2/5'3.

SJP had it in her contract that she got to keep all of her wardrobe pieces. However, my guess it that these were from SJP's personal collection to begin with.
