My knees are darker than the rest of my body...not enough iron. I'd suggest taking iron pills.

impossible i used to take iron supplement for about 1 year. i still have dark knee. i think maybe because i'm an asian with olive skin

i've heard: rub a lemon on your skin every day.

it'll take a long time, but eventually it will help naturally bleach your skin.
even more so if you go out in the sun after rubbing the lemon.

Im asian too and when I tan my knees are darker...Im thinking that next time I should put globs of sunblock on my knees and see if that can help lessen my knees from getting dark. But i dont know how to get rid of it. BUT I did hear about the lemon thing...maybe that can work

I use lemon juice on my knees everynight to help keep them an even colour, I'm black so it really shows up if I kneel to often etc without doing it.

Do NOT go out in the sun with lemon on your skin!!!!! it will actually stain it for a couple of months!! lemon does work to lighten your skin but you have to be careful of not going out in the sun without washing it well after and wearing sunscreen!!! trust me I talk from experience! the only good thing lemon out in the sun is good for is for lightening your hair.

Okay I have a spot of discolouration on the bone on the outside of my right ankle ... um the one that juts out clearly? It's dark and the skin there is rough ... Anyone knows what it is?

try hydroquinone if it is available were you live. It is a bleaching cream and will lighten the dark patches.

Um I think this is skin discoloration...I have a tan all over except my feet! So the rest of my is a little tan (not dark or orange) but my feet are WHITE! It starts right under my ankle like permanent socks. How do I get my skin back to normal?

is it also kinda rough, feels dry? if so i got same thing. my mom said maybe it was because i wore ankle socks and shoes keep rubbing againast it? :/ trying to get rid of it myself. tell me if you find a solution

I have very dark knees and tons of discolouration all over my body :(
Does lemon really work?

Lemon really works for dark knees, it should work for the body too but I can only personally vouch for knees and elbows!

Sometimes having a mixed heritage can make your skin discoloured, well, a different colour, in various places on your body. My friends kids have darker patches on various parts of their bodies, mostly their knees, elbows and a patch on the butts of the little ones. Apparently it's because my friend, their Mum is Filipino, and their Dad is [SIZE=-1]caucasian and that's just the way the skin comes out sometimes in kids of mixed heritage.

try cocoa butter- it might take a while to see a difference but it is good for uneven skin tones

^^ I've tried Palmers Cocoa Butter, but i've seen no difference :(

....do many of you lay out in the sun much?

How long will it take to see a difference in the knees after rubbing lemon on it?
