Here's a recent interview with Snejana where she talks about losing at all the beauty competitions she took part in as a kid. You can read the whole thing at the link, but I'll translate here what she said. Pretty sure it's new, but don't know if this is the full interview or just a small portion of it.

"I participated in a lot of [beauty] competitions, but always unsuccessfully. I don't even want to talk about that now."
"Miss Donbas, Miss Kive, Miss Queen Ukraine, Best Top Model - there were so many of them that I can't even recall them all. The best result I've ever gotten was third place."

This lack of success started when she was a kid in one of the summer camps.
"It was the most awful thing that has ever happened to me. I forgot the lyrics to the song, couldn't dance. Embarrassed the whole group. I'm in shock."

Her mom always encouraged her.
"She always said to me, Snejana you're the most beautiful, everything will work out for you. It seemed to me back then, there's some logic in it."

She didn't have any friends at school either.
I was friends with nobody - absolutely nobody. Maybe because I'm not social, very complicated."
