^ I'm not Korean but from speaking with friends who are, I was under the impression that it's not so shocking to see younger Koreans smoking these days? They say that more and more seem to be doing it, especially girls. But I guess that's all anecdata on our part.

Not to mention, the fashion industry definitely seems to enable this habit.
