Sofia Coppola and rocker Thomas Mars have tied the knot!

The couple wed at her family’s villa in southern Italy, the Associated Press reports.

The 40-year-old director walked down the aisle on the arm of her famous filmmaker father, Francis Ford Coppola, wearing a sheer, lavender tulle dress by Azzedine Alaïa, while Thomas, the Phoenix frontman, wore a gray suit.

“Everything went well,” Mayor Leonardo Chiruzzi, who performed the ceremony, told the AP. “It was simple, calm, in the garden.”

Sofia and Thomas have two daughters together, Romy and Cosima.

That definitely sounds false... maybe she just couldn't make it. But Sofia and Kirsten are close friends so I doubt she didn't get invited.
