I haven't reacted to all the other posts in this thread calling the shoes ugly or hideous, but when people are called stupid because of what they like, that's enough. Even if I think some shoes are incredibly ugly I would never call someone stupid for liking them.

Cos you're such a saint right? :sigh: P.S. the statement wasn't directed at anyone in particular so I don't know why you're nitpicking. I never called anyone stupid in terms of liking them, only at the thought of wearing something that looks so painful. imho Walking in monstrosities like that would destroy your feet and not to mention your back over time. In fact I consider myself a stupid **** for clubbing in 4 inch heels as I always end up cursing and swearing afterwards. What can I say? I'm a silly vain girl. Please feel free to call me as such if you like even though that would make you the pot.
If this doesn't appease you then I apologise for a statement made in a moment of pure disbelief and horror. It’s like how some people say smokers are stupid cos they’re inhaling tar every time they smoke. I’ve been called stupid many a time back when I used to smoke but I always let stuff like that roll of my back cos I just don't care. Now I don’t know about fetishes and whatnot, if they are used solely in the bedroom for some strange purpose, then I retract my statement. It’s not stupid then, just pervy.

I think you're right. People generally equate high fashion as freakish, but the truth is they don't have an eye for high fashion. So the people without an eye for high fashion but want to be, decide that the uglier thier stuff is the more high fashion it is (I guess that's how Dooney and Baby Phat sell).

Didn't Karen Elson wear the white shoes in the new White Stripes Video.

They really added to the effect of the whole f'ed up theme of the video. I would never wear them, but they definately have appeal on film/pictures if styled correctly and such.
