Sonam Kapoor

^She really does looks stunning. I don't like the name of the product (it isn't a fairness cream is it?)...but the commercial in itself is good.

I figured her first ads for L'oreal would be for hair products considering how nice her hair is, or has she already done some that I've missed?

Nope it's not a fairness cream, it's a cream to get rid of dark spots and even out skin tone. :flower:

This is her first ad for L'Oreal...i expected something to do with her hair as well!

Thank God she is not advertising fairness cream, otherwise my opinion of her might have changed. I really hate how well those silly creams sell in India, it is very upsetting, all that self-hatred.

She looks beautiful in that Loreal ad. I love that she's representing the brand. This means she'll be at Cannes with the rest of the spokeswomen in May!

Just wanted to apologise for going so completely off topic with this little rant.

Anyway, I hope she does go to Cannes this year, she is sure to impress.

Sonam also took part in Karan Johar's "Lead India" Campaign:

Sonam Kapoor: Thank God it's Sunday

• My three dogs... lick me out of my sleep on Sunday mornings.

• Peanut butter toast... and a cup of coffee, and the newspaper, are a must first thing in the morning.

• We’re big foodies... so we generally order our Sunday brunch on Saturday night itself. The kind of food ordered depends on my mood. Sometimes I want Sindhi kadhi and bhindi (a typical Sindhi fare), some other time, I crave for junglee mutton or tandoori chicken or kaali dal.

• Curling up with a book... followed by a short nap is a necessity after brunch. I am presently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. A friend of mine has presented me an Oscar Wilde collection, so I’m absorbed in it right now.

• I can read... more than one book at a time. Right now, I am also reading Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Among Indian contemporary writers, I like Rohinton Mistry, Amitav Ghosh. But I also feel that only classics deserve a second read.

• My best Sundays... were those spent in my childhood. I used to go horse-riding in the mornings, at Goregaon, with my sister Rhea. From there we’d head to either Holiday Inn or Centaur Hotel for lunch with my parents. It used to be so hot that we’d jump into the pool the instant we reached the hotel.

• Music is a mood thing... so sometimes I even feel like listening to Hindi oldies by S D Burman, R D Burman, and the rest. At other times, I could swing to Kanye West, Amy Winehouse and a lot of blues.

• Chatting with the family... over tea, coffee, poha or upma makes for a fun evening. We don’t watch much TV but we try to catch the 6 pm news and discuss what’s happening. Each of us has a completely different opinion on everything, so it’s fun. Then we discuss what’s happening at work, and also indulge in the regular family gossip.

• I like evening walks...
on the beach with my mom or my best friends from school, Shehla or Aarti (if they’re up to it), or just alone with my iPhone. But no weight-training or work-outs on Sundays for me, as it’s a day of rest or ‘God’s Day’ as I call it.

• It’s a treat... to watch a movie in a cinema hall on Sundays. I believe in the magic of cinema and cherish watching a movie on the big screen.

• A light dinner... could include salad, soup, chicken or fish. I’m not one of those lucky girls who eat what they want and still don’t gain weight. I am unfortunately very human and have to exercise to stay slim.

• A gaming session... is an ideal way to end my Sunday. I am addicted to my PS3 and my Xbox. My brother, Harshvardhan, has taken away my PS3, so now I’m stuck with word games and crossword puzzles on my laptop. But I love playing virtual chess on my laptop till late in the night before I retire for the day.

Thanks for posting the Lead India ad StateofBliss. I really like it.^_^

And reading the above made her even more endearing, I like how normal she is.

Sonam’s sis is producer

Sonam’s sis is producer

Daughter Sonam Kapoor is doing a film and papa Anil Kapoor is making sure no stone is left unturned to make Ayesha a special film. In fact, sister Rhea too has stepped on board as the official producer of the film. And you bet Sonam is having a lot of fun working with her.

Sonam, who plays a chronic match-maker in Ayesha, will begin shooting for the film in the third week of June in Delhi. But before that, she will fly down to Los Angeles next month for dress rehearsals. Designer Mona May, who has done Amy Adams’s costumes for Enchanted, has been roped in to dress Sonam for Ayesha. So while Anil is looking after other stuff of their production house, the sisters will be in LA, trying the costumes.

Sonam says she’s having a great time with Rhea, spending hours together huddled over the creative aspects of the film and getting every detail right.

^ Love her accessories on the cover, but not sure about the hair. It looks better in the 2nd and 3rd scan.

Thanks for posting!

I loved it too - really well done. Sent out a great message and I applaud Karan Johar for doing this. Every interview I read of hers makes me like her more. Plus she has amazing style and really knows about fashion!

OT, but her dad is going to be on 24 next season!

^ LOVE IT! Such a fun editorial! It's hard to believe that she's never modeled. Vogue India needs to take notice! hehehe

What is Vogue India doing!? Why hasn't this girl got her own cover yet!

This Hi! Blitz one is probably my fav editorial.....she just looks so stunning! The styling, the makeup, everything is so perfect!:heart:

Her Mother was once a model, so maybe it's in the genes!

That's really impressive. I'm sure their dad met her during awards season and worked this out.

Also - so sweet of her to donate all those books. She looks adorable.
