Long-haired, feline-featured Sophie Rose Yall is the reclusive, beautiful model, who recently turned sweet sixteen, then signed to IMG.

First spotted sauntering down Oxford Street after attending a talk at the ICA with Tracey Emin, young Sophie Yall is totally unaware of her innocently bewitching beauty. Interested in fashion from a young age, this East Anglian born and based brunette embodies the essence of style effortlessly. Studying fashion and textiles at City College Norwich, she is a small town girl with plans to make it big on the catwalk, for reasons other than just her good looks. Preferring classic sounds to current music, she cites The Velvet Underground, Patti Smith, Bob Dylan and David Bowie as her iPod artists of choice and favours a quiet night in with a good movie to a wild night out. i-D online took time out with the freshly signed face to chat passions and Prada.

What is your favourite part of your body? Maybe my hair.

What was the last song you listened to on your iPod? Queen Jane Approximately by Bob Dylan.

Describe yourself in 5 words: Analytical, ambitious, creative, [a] perfectionist, introverted.

What are your favourite labels or brands? Comme des Garçons, Vivienne Westwood, Prada.

Who is your style icon? I don’t have a consistent style icon but there are lots of people whose style I like!

Which modern women are an inspiration to you? Louise Wilson and Venetia Scott, both for different reasons.

What place in the world is the most special to you and why? Staithes in Yorkshire is my favourite place, it’s really beautiful and tiny.

Where do you feel safest? In my bedroom.

Where are you off to now? I’m going to get a coach home to Norwich.

I was scouted on Oxford Street earlier this year.

Black coffee, Olivier Rizzo’s styling, music, early mornings, making clothes, literature, QI, visiting new places.

Horse riding, reading, watching films, cooking.

The experience as a whole. As a model you have the opportunity to meet -and work with- so many interesting and talented people within the fashion industry.

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
The little cobbled streets, small bookshops, cafes and shops and the river; aesthetically it’s a nice place.

Place you would love to visit:
I’d really love to go to Shakespeare and Company and Deyrolle in Paris. I’d also like to visit Russia and Vienna.

Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
The film ‘The Dreamers’ by Bernardo Bertolucci. I’ve watched it so many times recently.

Kind of agree with that from first letter to final dot. And sadly enough, this sentence can be copied/pasted on many threads. And even worse, this says a lot about what agents think of the career of their models (something like "she is too green, she is too young but who cares and let's make some hype here and now, careers stop fast enough not to lose time"). I'm not trying to say they are all cynical and most of them aren't at all, it's just a bad habit that has been taken and people are slow to open their eyes, look at how this business has become and try to change things in a postive way.

I’m so over the height thing! You can be 5’8 or shorter and still be successful! Brbara, Charlotte, Julia Hafstrom, Amanda Nørgaard, Bambi,Agy Deyn, Sasha P, Kate Moss, Devon Aoki, Hannah Holman..... It’s just not a problem anymore!!!!
