Style My Hair

I've attached a picture so you know what my face looks like. Do you think I could get away with a short crop? I'm slightly worried I might end up looking butch.

For reference (I'm trying to include anything that might be relevant, please skip if it's boring); I'm just above 5'4, and I'm slim but a bit curvy. My style is a bit vintage girly, babydoll dresses, cardigans, kind of 60s vibe.

I'm not wearing any make up in the photo but I usually wear some (not loads, just a bit on the eyes or mouth and maybe some blusher).

My hair is straight, dark brown naturally (though I have black eyebrows) and quite thick. I get my hair cut at Vidal Sassoons, so lots of precision cutting.

At the moment it's just above my shoulders with a side fringe as the 1920s bob I had has grown out.

If the pixie style is a no, do you have any other ideas?

Thank you!

I think you could try an asymmetric curly bob that finishes just above your shoulders. I think that asymmetric styles look really nice on curly hair because the shape isn't so harsh.

I've been growing my hair out for six months, but damn it, I'm finished. I haven't had hair past my chin since I was fifteen, but the longer I don't cut my hair, the more I want to. SO I'm going into get my hair cut tomorrow, but I don't exactly know what I want.

I have a perm that's growing out, and naturally I have seriously thick, wavy, 'nuclear-war-wouldn't-damage-it' hair.

I really really love androgynous short hair, but my face isn't really narrow enough to it to be flattering. Also, I'm getting my headshots re-done soon (for acting) - and I need a style I can stick too. So many problems!

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, or pics, I'd appreciate it!

What my hair looks like now, but only imagine it three weeks later/longer and somewhat worse:

i think you'd look really amazing with a cut similar to freja beha's. ^_^

So basically this is my hair now, down it is reaches about an inch above my shoulders and I was thinking of dying my bangs sort of dark natural red. Any other ideas? Sorry about my face!

^ oh wow!

if you could do your hair like the second pic i think you'd be stunning!

Alright... I really want to keep growing my hair out, but I just really want a change from what I have now. I really like the very light blonde, but wanted to do something a little extra, whether streaks, low/highlights, etc. And I also wanted suggestions/ideas on a different, edgy, but flattering cut.
Sorry for the spotty quality/weird and stupid nature of these photos... these are the ones I felt best showed how my hair looks now:

need some help with my haircut

hi folks, i don't know what i should do with my hair.
it used to be relatively long about two years ago and i've had this look for ages. what i liked about it was that i could wear a nice braid as in the last pic.

the thing that annoys me is that i ain't got any volume and i'd love to have big hair like brigitte bardot (haha).

what should i do? grow it back? get the same cut as in the last pic? what about bangs? go darker or lighter (but it should be blode, though)? should i get them streaked again or dye them completely in one colour?

i feel so boring at the moment.

Excuse the pic, but I'm thinking about dying my hair dark (like Cat McNeil) and getting my layers re-cut...I do have layers, but I got my hair cut back in December and they look pretty dead now

Btw I have really really long hair because I'm too lazy to get it cut + it grows like hell

It's even longer now :ninja:

Yes/no?

^I think you would really suit a bar fringe.

the ida, you hair looks perfect to me. i think that a dark colour would be becoming to you because of your fair skin and you relatively dark eyebrows. but it shouldn't be black, rather a daaark brown.

Oh...I've tried a bar fringe, did absolutely not work out  I'm not dying it black, I would look totally goth because I'm so fair...I'm aiming for McNeil  I'm thinking a dark brown too. Could I use a toner (don't know what it's called in english)? I think it's like a semi-permanent hair dye...

ida you are so beautiful  personally i love your hair, and i dont think you should get a full fringe, your hair is delicate and falls beautifully to frame your face...you have a great hairline and a lovely forehead, and i think the shape of your face is really nice with how you have your hair now. the layers look good at the front, maybe refreshing the ones at the back that have grown out would be good ?? dark hair would probably be really striking, i'd go for it if i were you.

Ohh adorefaith, you're making me blush  But I know, I really need to have my layers refreshed. Maybe it was a lucky shot, but they really just look worn out most of the time..

I'm just not too sure about dying my hair permanently, or if the semi permanent hair dye gives enough colour so I can get an idea of how it will look like...damn

you could mke a trial first and dye it permanently afterwards if you like the colour

yeah i would get one of those colour treatments that rinses out in a certain amount of washes...you know the ones?. i think you can get 20 washes etc. a girlfriend of mine experimented with a colour that way. i have used a semi permanent dye in a colour a bit darker than my natural hair colour, nothing drastic but from medium brown to very dark brown, and i was really really happy with the results. it's the only time i've put colour in my hair and i never had any problems with roots etc. i dont know how semi permanent colour works but it seemed to just fade over time...i didnt even notice it....i just sort of realised maybe 6 months later that my colour seemed to have lightened again. i would go for it!. :woot:

^I think we're talking about the same thing...the question is if I can go from medium blonde to dark brown with a colour treatment that rinses out? Otherwise I could just do it a couple of times?

I haver never dyed my hair before, only highlighted it...but I've dyed everyone else's hair
