I'm not sure, I'm guessing mid 90s, cos I remember these Mentholatum ads being from my primary school era..I used to flaunt my own collection of lip balms to my classmates just like the way he did on the bus/train.

Yes I have, I don't really like Red Cliff, everyone looked great and all but there was no real acting.

I saw Red Cliff at the Chicago Int'l Film Fest. I could tell it was cut down, especially the character development. He was really good in what few scenes he had. Always likable.

Anyway, today's his birthday (Well I guess yesterday if he's in Tokyo), regardless, Happy Birthday Takeshi!
