Tanya Taylor’s resort collection was all about romance as she worked her chalk and acrylic abstract artwork into painterly prints on delicate little dresses, maxiskirts and nipped blouses. This is the first season that Taylor incorporated lace into her lineup, adding the delicately feminine trimmings to her slip dresses and camisoles.

The designer also had a strong focus on knitwear, ranging from a chunky hand-knit sweater with mohair embroidery that created a cloudlike effect to a sexy knit skirt with a stripe design. For the girl who is a bit more daring, Taylor did a bold embroidered floral appliqué with long tassel fringe on a dress, skirt and leather jacket that were real showstoppers.
