Just got my print subscription copy this morning... this issue comes with a separate supplement, the A5 Tatler Address Book 2024, which is basically a bunch of advertisers who have paid to have their services listed, from schools to surgeons to financial management to wedding venues.

The actual issue is 120 pages. I like Sophie, but that cover is a messy editorial image, not something that should be on the front of the magazine.

Inside are small features on the artist Sir John Lavery and wife Hazel; Lady Rose Cecil driving 4x4s to the Ukraine; the man who wrote the book "Alive" about the Andes plane crash in 1972; Le Bal in Paris; and 'big names on campus' - what the top social scene is like at different UK universities.

The fashion editorial is PARIS WHEN IT DAZZLES, shot by Luc Braquet, styled by Hannah Teare with Sonia Gorelova@Titanium. They must have done a bunch of shoots at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, because we're back there with some winter dressing, big jumpers, bigger furs.

Not an issue to go out of your way to get.

I do love and admire how Tatler never shies away from OTT glamour, when most other publications like Vogue seem deathly afraid of it nowadays. I have zero complaints over this particular cover, despite not even knowing who Sophie Winkleman was until now.
