When Tuppence is on stage, I'm sure it's a different world of words and action - but when you're shooting a print editorial like this, you have to fully inhabit the image, or else it looks like you're momentarily wearing an uncomfortable, ill-fitting costume meant for someone else entirely. And Elizabeth Taylor is a hard act to follow.

Tuppence Middleton’s got a problem. Albeit a uniquely thrilling problem, because she’s gearing up to play Elizabeth Taylor, that most demanding of screen goddesses. A woman who famously said, ‘big girls need big diamonds’, and who, in all her eight decades on this earth, never once cooked breakfast.

I don't know that much about Tuppence, I must find out more.

I've received my subscription copy, 144 pgs, no supplement this month. It's full of jewellery ads, and with some degree of Coronation content, without overdosing on it, because there's the Elizabeth Taylor interlude. The fashion editorial is the 16 pg STOP THEM IN THEIR TRACKS, shot by Luc Braquet, styled by Hannah Teare, which is a studio shoot featuring Ascot-inspired clothing. The content includes old covers of Tatler from the various years in which a Coronation has occurred. Posh house of the month is the reinvigoration of the old War Office in London.

Carine’s Elizabeth Taylor for V is way better.

Yeah I don't really see Elizabeth Taylor but I haven't seen her acting so maybe there's that.
