Tatler does have a tradition of sorts featuring royal covers as done by artists. There was the July 2024 one with the Princess of Wales, July 2023 with the King, and July 2022 with Queen Elizabeth II. These are generally commissioned with a Commonwealth connection i.e. Ghana, Trinidad, Nigeria etc.

Got my subscription copy today, it's 136 pages. The issue is mostly devoted to the partnership of Charles and Camilla, including a fashion editorial, A LOVE MATCH, shot by Oli Kearon, which takes after those early pictures of them talking under a tree etc and is as enjoyably camp as most Tatler editorials are.

Other articles include Cecil Beaton's passion for gardening, a history of State Portraits, holiday invitations for the summer, Tishya Amin, the current owner of Henry VIII's former home, Chilham Castle, and the new Aga Khan V, Prince Rahim - he's the one who married Kendra Spears, although it seems they've since divorced. The travel section goes to Bath.
