Ever since Vanessa's British Bazaar cover, I haven't been overwhelmed by anything else. They appear to have taken inspiration from Bette Midler's Hocus Pocus character, with the hair.

The inspiration is Marie-Antoinette. The photo is taken from a portfolio of Vanessa Paradis in Versailles by Karl Lagerfeld. The book of photos is sold with her last CD "Une nuit à Versailles".
