Thandiwe Newton

She's so beautiful! I wish she got more roles, because she's such a great actress.

She's radiant and sexy on Jimmy Kimmel's show!

I've already expressed my disappointment on the Essence cover in Kerry Washington's thread.

I like the Essence cover, but it feels to posed. I would've preferred something more natural.

Yesterday I watched For Colored girls with a group of girlfriends...

I thought it was OK but definately not oscar worthy for best picture, director... there were too many grandiose scenes and some storylines should have been better developed... and Janet Jackson should stick to playing fun characters... only... she was beyond horrible and cliche.

Thandie Newton was the BEST of the bunch imo and that is a tall order considering other actresses gave great performances (Kimberly Elise, the girl from showgirls and Loretta Divine). She really lost herself in the character because physically she still looked like Thandie but her movements, speech, facial expressions all belong to some street harlem chica... She also did a good job playing her comedic and dramatic scenes with equal flair... and her monologues were by far the best.

Anyways, I hope both her and Kimberly get some oscar love for best supporting actresses... it will be hard since Tyler Perry films are universally hated by critics and members of award committees...^_^

^thanks for the review. I hope it will have a release in France...

Hmm..lately she's been confusing me with her choice of wardrobe..but she's still stunning as ever. She really has a radiance to her that outshines whatever she chooses to wear.

She's going to the BAFTAs. Woo!
Thandie Newton, who regularly champions Britain’s top designers, looked positively glowing in a printed minidress from Jonathan Saunders’ spring/summer collection at our Best of British Talent party at Shoreditch House. The actress, who revealed that she hasn’t yet chosen a gown to wear to the forthcoming Baftas, told us: “We have some of the best designers in the world!”
