Giles Deacon chatted with Thandie Newton about his flash visit to L.A. with his pre-collection;

From Contact news. I can't believe Thandie said this:

Hollywood star THANDIE NEWTON has some advice for young single girls looking for love - abandon your pets. The Crash star, who is married to director Ol Parker, admits she ditched her pet cat on meeting her husband and fears unattached women are using their pets as a "man substitute". She says, "If you're single, the first thing you need to do is ditch your cat. "I got rid of my cat as soon as I met my husband, although, of course, I made sure it went to a good home. "I realise that it was simply a man substitute and because I had got a real one, I didn't need it anymore."

From Contact News:
Hollywood star THANDIE NEWTON has urged the world to go green, because it makes people more attractive. The actress launched into an impromptu speech at the London leg of Live Earth after stepping on stage to introduce Al Gore via a video-link from Washington, and a delay left her with minutes to fill. She said, "I'm onstage infront of two billion people and I have nothing interesting to say. "Actually I do. Coming to live earth increases our attractiveness to a potential mate about 200 per cent - say you've come to Live Earth is a way of saying you're hung like a warlord."

Actor Thandie Newton believes that fellow Brit Elizabeth Hurley is the one who started off the trend of fame seeking celebs.
Hurley went from being little known to a celeb overnight when she appeared on then boyfriend Hugh Grant's arm for the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral wearing her famous black plunging Versace dress held together with gold safety pins. And, Newton believes that by doing so she started off the trend of celebs vying for the spotlight. "Celebrity these days is just about wearing something plunging on the red carpet. There's such a hunger for fastfood celebrity. I think Liz Hurley wearing that Versace dress started it all but anyone can wear a gorgeous dress,"
Contactmusic quoted her as saying . "When you ask a kid these days what they want to be they say, 'I want to be famous.' That didn't happen when we were little. You wanted to be famous for a reason ," she added.

Actress THANDIE NEWTON is relishing shooting GUY RITCHIE's latest gangster movie - because all her co-stars are male. The 34-year-old is starring on RocknRolla alongside Gerard Butler and Tom Wilkinson and loves the testosterone surge on set. She says, "It's great, I'm working with all these big men. "It is fun and very interesting to have the chance to observe boys doing boy things. I am very much enjoying being the only girl."
