^Yes, it is still working like a miracle. I'm using Dickinson's Witch Hazel. The one without aloe vera, though I do want to try that type next.

I don't know if this the right place to ask but...
I don't get pimples often but when I do they are terrible and ALWAYS leave a scar, whether I pick at it or not. Now the scar isn't a normal indentation of the skin, i am left with red spots, especially on my cheeks and they don't go away.
Does anyone have a similar problem, and is there a way to make all these spots go away??
thanks!!!

^ Yes! It's very normal, I still have this mini red pimple scar above my eyebrow from last year. It's faded a lot though. I think you should focus on exfoliating 2 times a week (at night). As for your exfoliating product, beaded products haven't done anything for me... I read on a medical website that those products only end up tearing your skin. It works for some people though, but it definitely never helped my scars. You need to get one of those massage products that remove dead skin cells in a way that isn't so harsh. I use Laneige's Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Pack (Here is its link on Makeupalley). It has fantastic reviews. It really does a good job of removing blemishes/scars/imperfections that you never thought were removable! All you have to do is slather some all over your face and keep massaging it until these rolls of dead skin and gross things "fall off".

Sorry I sound like a salesperson, but I feel like I owe it to the product because it's done so much for me :D

If that isn't sold in your region, I think witch hazel does quite a good job with fading scars. If that doesn't work, you might need to try a whitening/brightening product.

Thank you I will have to try it out. :flower: Another question also, what cleanser and moisturizer do you use with it then?

^For my cleanser I use the Biotherm Aquasource Cleanser for Combination skin, but I don't recommend it at all... I am desperately waiting for it to use up so that I can invest in a new cleanser. I find that oil-based cleansers work very well, so my next investment will probably be one of the oils from shu uemura!
I use Laneige Balancing Emulsion 2EX as a moisturizer for the daytime, and Laneige White Plus Renew Night Cream before I sleep. (And if you don't like whitening products, Nuxe's Crème Fraiche Light has amazing reviews!)

I started a regime of using aloe vera gel as moisturiser after cleansing 2x per day. I've followed this for around four days and already my chin acne has completely cleared up. This is so amazing! I have suffered from acne on my chin for 11 years and nothing has helped. I've also started using a biore acne scrub and neutrogena acne/oily skin cleanser

Occasionally I buy a small bag of organically-grown lemons, squeeze some of the juice into the water I drink (through a straw to help preserve my teeth from the acid), and I put some of it on my face before I go to bed. It stings a little and is a bit sticky, but it's cheap, and seems to fade marks and make my skin whiter and brighter. Perhaps not suitable for super-sensitive skin, but at the price, worth a try. I also imagine there's a decent dose of Vitamin C and other nutrients in the lemon.

thanks michyed :flower:
just looked up laneige and ordered it online, so i'm gonna try it and see if it works!!!!

where can you buy these witch hazel products at? does anyone know?

http://www.dickinsonsusa.com/where_main.html: has a list of places you can buy it!

@tigerrogue: I've tried the lemon thing, not on my face because it's a bit sensitive, but on my mosquito bites. It helped so much. It did burn a bit but it felt darn good afterwards!

@L.A.Woman85: Good luck! I hope it works well for you :D Update us after a while!

witch hazelnut is an oil that can be bought at any drugstore in the medicina aisle. you can buy it at walmart.

I made a post a bit ago about wishing there was a better way to get rid of red marks. Well I haven't found it yet but I had a large pimple flare up on the side of my cheek about a month ago, and after I got rid of it (took like 2 weeks :/) I was freaking out about the brown/red mark left over. I bought lemon juice and applied it to the mark incessantly along with my regular morning/night routine and it seriously faded a good 85% in a week. I can't say it really did anything for my older red marks, but I'm convinced lemon juice, along with frequent exfoliation, will dramatically fade FRESH red marks. As in, you better start the process after your zit finally dies off! :) That's my 2 cents for today

I have my first derm appointment tomorrow lucky it was only a couple of months wait not 6 like my other one.. Any hints?

guys how do you get rid(minimize) pores?

I'm still on the hunt for a good product to do that... Witch Hazel claims to do so but I haven't seen it minimize my pores yet.

OH but have you heard of the egg white mask? I've only heard positive things about it, and it's no. 1 use is to reduce pores... Oh my I am trying that sometime soon!

Probably too late but ask for samples of products to try if he/she recommends any topicals-R/x or otherwise.
Seeing a new doc is a lot of trial 'n error at first since everyone's skin is so different.
It can get frustrating, time intensive and costly!

thanks but yeah I have already been.. She is putting me on roaccutane and considering I have tried everythingand have had bad skin for 10years now I'm happy with that.. Im being put on 20mg for 9-11months that way I dont get a huge amount of side effects as I am in the sun alot :)
