what did you think of the color? I'm debating between that color and the grass green, but it's so hard w/o seeing both in person.

^I saw the grass green too, in fact it seems like that Neimans just received their shipment of Bal bags in the new colours.

I didn't have time to check the cards on the seafoam city that I saw, but I'm pretty sure that it is the vert d'eau since I was told by the SA that they just received the shipment recently. It's a dead ringer for the seafoam and if the seafoam is a colour that you wanted all along, I say get this one.

The grass green on the other hand, is a nice practical colour. It's a really deep, rich colour and is definitely a colour that you can carry all year round, while the vert d'eau could be a litte too summery..at least to me.

But I'll have to admit that between the 2 colours, the vert d'eau grabbed my attention first...but the grass green is definitely a more classic colour to go with.

Jun, you can see lots of Balenciaga bags at Barney's in Beverly Hills as well as Maxfield on Melrose. Based on my last visit, Maxfield's store is way more intimidating (think avante garde architecture and a security guard at the entrance), but their SAs are waaay nicer than the ones at Barney's.

spiralsnowman, yes the vert d'eau does look a lot like the old seafoam, but a tad lighter.
I believe there's a vert d'eau bag up for auction now on Ebay, you might like to search for the auction to take a look at the shade.

just me yes the weekend does come with gold hardware! they had a couple at barneys in beverly hills....in green black and white

went to harvey nicks.. they still didnt have the new bags in! just the plain colours
what a bummer but my SA reassured me and said he would call as soon as it gets in.
seen all the ones with big hardware. they are nice but i decided that the whole fact i like my B BAGS is because they are simple and understated so will stick to the classic style

just returned from neiman marcus in sf...
here's a report of what they have:

black regular hardware: first, city, part time, twiggy, brief, day, weekender
black giant hardware: work, brief, city
vermillion giant hardware: city
vert gazon giant hardware: day, work, city
truffle giant hardware: brief, work, city
cafe giant hardware: day
marine giant hardware: brief
white regular hardware: brief, first, bowling
white giant hardware: brief, work

they also had some f/w bags still available, namely a sapin purse, and many of the afternoon/mid afternoon styles...

i tried on the regular black brief, and i really like the style..
for those of you that have been asking, yes, it does fit on the shoulder...
the giant hardware seemed to only look right on the marine, black, truffle, and cafe...
there's something about the contrast of the bright gold on the darker color that works imo...

after seeing the brief in person, i'm happy that i put my name down for an anthracite one...
just have to wait until march...

leyla m, i have to ask what bags did you see at harvey nicks? my bf's headed to london next week and i'm really really hoping they have some dark colored work/day in regular hardware... i have yet to see these both styles come in the regular hardware for s/s07 and i understand most of the fall 06 stock is sold... you might just give me some hope that i'll be able to get bbag within the next couple of weeks.... thanks!
