The collections in Milan had us on a pleasure cruise, slipping in to one chic port after another while making mental note of everything we'll be picking up for spring. Although there was much to admire, here's a short list of the standouts:

Prada's dip-dyed sweater tied at the waist with grosgrain ribbon and paired with ‘50s skirt.
Versace's lilac chiffon gown (Dewi Driegen's body included).

Dsquared: If given the chance, we'd tune in to watch the ‘50s drama unfold at "Dean & Dan's Hot Diggidy Dog" set every night of the week.
Cavalli: The five-minute video homage paid to Cher was almost better than the fashion show.
Brian Atwood: Three vixen German contortionists in bikinis were supposedly modeling shoes, but no one could take their eyes off their legs touching the backs of their heads.
Missoni: Images of the family history plus the unveiling of a three-story scaffolding bursting with Missoni's factory workers in white lab coats brought tears to everyone's eyes.
And – quite a production in its own right: Versace's naughty all-nighter in Via Gesu with Beyoncé taking charge on the dance floor.

Why Gucci?!! It was awful to me! I haven't seen Gucci that bad in a long time! I would replace Gucci with Burberry any day of the week! Oh what is wrong with them? And i'm done. but still. gah, there is so much wrong with Gucci this season that I'm shocked they put that in.
