The City

Does anybody have a link for us Non-Americans, please!

^ Sorry, V, I looked on MTV Europe and Germany, no luck... The first episode is on tonight here, so I bet they will have things on You Tube by tomorrow... ;)

Thanks for looking, Boomer. Will check youtube for the next couple of days.

Thank you so much for the link !
Ok, where do I begin ? Olivia was just so disrespectful to show up to the party not wearing any Guess clothes, and then practically laughing at him when Joe tried to confront her about it. Roxy was also just asking for trouble, talking about Whitney Eve during another designer's presentation, TWICE. I loved Olivia frozen's face when Whitney showed up at Elle's, and the fact that the show addressed Whitney's line lack of consistency. The previous episodes just made it seem so easy for her and so simple to become a "designer". I like Erin and Seth's scheming. I hope Louise Roe will join the cast. Next week will, it seems, bring the drama.

^ Agree!! Roxy is poison, Olivia acted like a spoiled little princess who could do whatever she wanted and throw it in everyone's face (as if she didn't realize you need to wear a line of clothing to an event sponsored by that designer)!! To my mind, Olivia became much less likable in this episode....:(
And it is about time Whitney started to hear what the real world of fashion is all about- it is big business with brutal competition- you don't tell a powerful executive the ideal woman for your 'collection' is yourself and your friends!! She sounded like a kid in grade school doing a class project!! And then to run to Kelly an say she doesn't know how much more of this criticism she can take!! These girls better grow up fast!!

I love the girl that was in the Glamour scene with Whitney and Roxy last week and now she was in the Henry Holland thing, Maria Dueňas..she's so gorgeous! Anyone has any info on her?

My thoughts exactly. I think the real criticising hasn't even begun. Olivia just doesn't do her job properly but always seem to get away with it. If this was real she would have been fired a while ago esp. with the job market being tough and competetive right now.

^ Yeah, and have Daddy pay the mortgage on your loft in Brooklyn...

OMG @ Roxy talking about Whitney Eve to the Paper Mag editor (what's his name again?) and being all I wasnt supposed to be talking to you about this but Shhhtttt ... Kelly is going to fire you dumba##!

And although I LOVE Olivia I think the new girl will take her place at Elle.com because she's been messing around way too much!! And Joe's patience has its limits too.

I'm sorry but I just think the whole Olivia working at Elle thing is hilarious, she never turns up to events, won't represent the magazine properly, she won't do any interviews, she definitely isn't efficient and she laughed in Joe Zee's face..... its comical really it is
Do you guys think she is gonna lose her ''job''?

^ Well, God knows in real life she should have a long time ago, but that would pretty much end the entire Elle/Erin/Joe Z storyline- No??

Olivia is that renegade actor who won't follow the script and keeps improvising. She knows her job is fake and that she won't get "fired" so she does exactly what she wants to do and refuses to do anything she doesn't want to do.

^true. I kind of admire her for doing it, I mean, the ability of being above everyone's thoughts/opinions... She doesn't seem to give a f##k about what they think she should be doing...

I haven't really been following this season but I did catch a few epi online over this rainy memorial day weekend... last night epi was all kinds of awesome.

I do feel a bit sorry for Whitney because she has decided to put herself out there with her line... at the same time I feel like a dose of reality from Anne S and Joe Z was much needed since she saw herself on the same level of Phillip Lim and Alex Wang. Has she seen their collection? her own collection? Surely, she can see that her clothes are not even close to being on par with these great and 'real' designers. At the same time, Whitney has been dedicated to the fashion industry way before she got into reality tv... and one can tell that she is passionate about her line and works hard...

She needs to make some changes asap... she should use her time while living in NYC to enroll at a fashion school like FIT and take some courses... afterall, she did get a degree in gender studies and never really studied fashion...

I have no word for Olivia... Elle mag as well as Joe Z look like complete fools for not firing her already (even though it's fake). She fails at her fake job... that's reason enough to give her the boot...

i thought it was hilarious how whitney and roxy were looking at, i think, a feathered marchesa? dress and then basically saying she wanted to copy it. uhmm, how can u ever profess to be a true designer if you cant even come up with original designs??
