The City

... mmmm for some reason I don't know why but I think she has a crush on Jay ;)

What?!?:lol: no way, her boyfriend is gorgeous and really her style, Jay is a wannabe prettending is not... but who knows?!?B):unsure:

nyc_art_style - it was a free donwload i was asking about, like as we have with grossip girl every week from megaupload. Thanks anyway :flower:

I think Jay is hot too but only when he keeps his mouth shut (this is crucial). Although I do have to say he gives me bad vibes. He does not seem genuine one bit.

I still think Jay is the male version of Heidi Montag pre. surgery! Doesn't anybody else see it? haha!

My thoughts exactly . I don't think there is much depth to the the guy anyway.

i saw ep 8 last night, well i think Whitney doesn't have much personality in terms of defending herself or her loved people, a girl like Olivia wouldn't EVER talk to me the half bad she talks to Whit, and for Olivias good, i can say that she'd better calm a bit down, i dont know but it seems she thinks she kindda owns the show?, and she is passing the banner of being a funny/great b**tch, to be a rude and uncool person.
Jay is like a plant, he is nothing and it is better if he keeps his horrible accent away from microphones, and finally i think that i missed Allie and Adam, they give a lil' fashion spice in there, wasnt the show going to be super fashionable?...i guess they have to find a really good twist in the next episodes or it will become monotonous soon....

Nevan is annoying! Ugh. Olivia wouldn't be talking to me like that. Whitney needs to stand up for herself.

Right. Whitney is coming off as weak as of late. She lets Olivia run all over her, speak to her in a disrespectful manner, and she says not a thing in response. There is no way in the world I would allow it. All Whitney needs to do is giving Olivia ONE good verbal beating and things would be alright. I understand being classy and being a lady, but enough is enough.

Is Olivia a laughingstock on the UES? I mean, the show isn't portraying her in the best light. And it seems like she's trying to play a socialite on tv. Just wondering if there's more backlash from her antics. . .

I love Whitney but she's still so shy and vulnerable, and if she continues this behavior, NY (and Olivia) will eat her alive!

And Nevan is the perfect example of douchebagery.

I really don't like the show. Whitney seems weak and naive. Olivia would have one time to talk down to me before she got put in her place. She seems obnoxious and snobby. So obsessed with superficiality. They make fashion seem uninteresting and pretentious. And the downtown vs uptown rival going on seems fake. If it's real I'd rather hang downtown cause those snobby kids seem like they can't have fun.

And is anyone annoyed by the lack of gay characters in this show. It's Ny and the fashion industry. Where are my people?

Ok im done with my rant. The City just seems fake and not fashion related at all.

^Nevan who is Olivia's cousin is obviously gay...

Olivia reminded me of Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl) a bit in the last episode...

Olivia is pretty but her personality is terrible, she seems to try too hard to be the star of the show.

I think Allie should steal the show.

I think the series is getting more boring every time. They really have to come up with an interesting storyline because every episode is pretty much the same so far. Also think the "actors" don't do a particularly good job. The Hills was much better in terms of that. The City should be more about fashion. Hey, it's NY!

Watched an episode of this after a long break. So. Boring. It's annoying because it has quite a lot of potential.

Olivia is the most interesting person on the show, I wish they'd give her something to do other than look annoyed. I don't care that she's shallow and a little pretentious and ridiculous -that's INTERESTING. She is absolutely gorgeous as well, and nicely dressed. I would quite like just an insight into her neuroses and weird world. Where is her boy drama?

Whitney is painfully dull, and seems really thick. Jay is very fake and would be better if he just (fakely) did a lot of ridiculous dramatic things to liven things up a bit. Erin is dull, dull, dull.

Allie is beautiful but so expressionless and miserable. I find her and Adam quite funny though. Again, I wish they'd just create more confrontation.

So, my plot wishlist: Olivia and Jay go from hating each other to having passionate hate-sex. Whitney remains oblivious to the affair and disappears from the screen. Plus, I want a lot more focus on fashion. Come on show, we all know it's fake, make it FUN.

^^^ lol hate sex, i was watching a bit of this last night but got bored and ended up watching generation kill now im hooked on something that is completely opposite to The city.

I felt kind of sad for the camera crew to film on new years eve

I don't think we'll ever see Olivias 'real life' i.e. her friends/boyfriend because she probably signed on to do it with certain limits in place. You can kind of tell she agreed and only wants to be filmed in small contexts like at DVF & the apartment whereas Whitney and Erin seem to be happier to broadcast their vapid boyfriends/love life

the latest episode was disappointing. It dragged on with little or no story-line expect, once again, Erins ridiculously boring lovelife that no one cares about
