I do feel the show is trying to go for the Gossip girl vibe though, I mean Olivia is clearly the Blair to Whitney's Serena.

Speaking of Serena, does anyone think Whitney look like Lily van der Woodsen in this cover of teen vogue lol?

This show is my guilty pleasure, Whitney is boring as hell but Olivia and Adam are so hot

Jay!

Well,DVF is the one who asked what was going on.It's not that big of deal anyway, since her advices seemed fake and it didn't looked sincere :innocent:
yeah, in fact DVF specifically asked about her bf... like she'd actually know or care about Whit's lovelife
obviously MTV asked for a little sit-down...

Jay's such a phoney and a terrible actor, but I s'pose we haven't seen the last of him...

^HA... we have seen the last of this dude... no reason for him to be on the show anymore. He can take Adam with him too...

aaah can't get enough of this show even though it seems so scripted. lol.

i go from loving to hating to loving this show. Currently = LOVING! the episode where kelly cutrone called that girl out for being too skinny. then saying to whitney 'id like to say im sorry....but im not'. OMG so entertaining!

Its aspirational and so inspirational! <3

I couldnt believe the scene where Diane sits down and starts talking to Whitney, it was far too much! Even so such a good episode. Safe to assume last one for the season?

^ Yup it was the season finale. Not sure when the second season starts up though but I'm assuming after The Hills comes back.

I can't wait for the next season to come out. Every episode was just 20 minutes long and everything just happened so fast. I want more!

I'm making a Cd with the musics from the show, so when i get bored i can always play him in my car and pretend i'm in N.Y....

I did that with 'the hills'....more often than not the song was about money, beauty or LA:lol::rolleyes: Or a combination of the 3.

When you do your CD could you put the tracklist up--be good to DL the songs for a 'city' cd:flower:

A few years back, Jay Lyon, along with his best friend Nick "Pottsy" Potts, sought something beyond the pristine beaches of their native Australia and headed to New York to pursue modeling careers. "We basically just kinda used [modeling] as a vehicle to get ourselves out of Australia," says Potts. And in 2004, the tall, dark, handsome and shaggy-haired Lyon and tow-headed Potts decided to do what any self-respecting good looking friends would do: They formed a band, Tamarama. But it wasn't until last year, after Jay was cast in MTV's docu-drama The City as Whitney Port's love interest, that Tamarama became more than a side-project.

Of their modern day Ellis Island landing, Lyon has nothing but a positive impression of this city: "I think New York's been a great place for us to be. I think it's broadened our sound. It's really diverse, in every way." Named after a beach back home, Tamarama's style is super surf, lo-fi, soft sung and easy on the ears. Think commercial appeal, radio friendly and, in our humble opinion, Jack Johnson.

While the New York Times proved less than enthusiastic about the duo's talents, there were enough high school-aged girls crowding Hammerstein Ballroom at Friday night's "One is Greater Than None" charity concert to combat an army of music critics. Less than stellar reviews haven't stunted their aspirations; after releasing their Wonderland City EP back in December, the band is presently studio-bound, "...getting into pre-production for the [full length] record," says Lyon, due to drop in the fall. Their aesthetic could hardly be called deeply complex, but their mild melodies and simple riffs come as a welcome relief, a breath of fresh and uncomplicated air from Down Under. It's evident at first listen that Lyon and Potts aren't from these same mean streets; their aesthetic proves smooth, sans grit and grime. "It's a nice change for New Yorkers. It's our way of putting a bit of Zen back in the city," says Lyon.

Speaking of the city, The City, MTV's Hills spin-off on which Lyon starred last season, was anything but a Zen-like experience for him. "That's been one of the tough things for me," Lyon admits in regards to the exaggerated drama that comes with starring in a reality show steeped in material manipulation for entertainment's sake. "Whatever suits their storyline is what they show," adds Potts. According to the guys, filming took place about twice a week. That kind of tracking requires endless editing, a concentrated and condensed product packaged to attract audiences and advertisers alike. Apparently MTV obtained ample footage of Tamarama performing, but, predictably, Potts says, "they just showed Nevan going off about us, being a d-bag."

Of Olivia Palermo's snooty, couch-surfing friend, Lyon adds, "I don't think Nevan knows who he is himself, let alone everyone else." And the constant cameras and Nevan's snarky remarks hardly scratch the surface of what left a foul taste in Lyon's mouth. He groans at the mention of Whitney Port's foil, uptown "social" Palermo, and, upon being asked if Allie's still crashing with him and his roommate Adam, he replies, "No, she's got her own place. Thank ****ing god." That's not to say Lyon hasn't had his fair share of fun with this show. He maintains a realistic perspective: "You gotta take the bad with the good." After all, his band has gotten airtime on MTV and he was able to snog the comely Ms. Port. Though they're no longer together, Lyon says they're still friends. And while recent rumors suggest Port was seen cozying up with Lipstick Jungle star Rob Buckley at a Havaianas event in Miami last week, Port apparently told Lyon: "Don't believe everything you read." Could a Jay and Whitney reunion be in the works? Lyon coyly says, "I haven't given up on it completely. I love her dearly. I think she's awesome."

Much as we love to ogle Lyon and Potts from the comfort of our living rooms, the boys insist that reality television isn't on Tamarama's list of priorities. Like modeling, "acting" is a thing of the past. (Though we are not totally convinced this is the last we'll see of them on MTV -- The City was recently picked up for a second season.) That said, in the more immediate future, according to Lyon, "We're gonna be doing music. Still wanna be doing music. Wanna take it as far as we can." And where would they like to be five years from now? "On the top, baby."

A couple months ago, someone posted online (I am not sure if it was on TFS) a video of Whitney during her photoshoot for Elle magazine where she was wearing that beautiful white suite (the video and the shoot occurred at the DVF offices). Does anyone have a link to that video?

X17 has pics of Jay & Whit together today.
Jay's such a knob! He's nothing but a famewhore, Whit can do so much better.

So, they are still together? I knew it (even if only for the show).
