Sorry if there is already a thread like this

This might only apply to those of you in the UK but I was just wondering if any of you have been or are going to the Clothes Show live at the NEC in Birmingham.

I am going this year and I'm really looking forward to it as I live in quite a quiet part of England and far from any of the main cities so this will be a good experience for me.

:bounce:  :buzz:

What do you guys know about the show, is it any good?

What shall I expect? :flower: :D

Im going :D I went last year too and really enjoyed it!

Well you go see a show thats about 45 mins long, where they have a catwalk, when i went first they had some high fashion peices then they had dancers showing clothes, it was good.

Then they have loads of stalls in different areas, beauty, then different types of clothes, theres loads of stuff to do and some clothes things have discounts. There are also smaller runways for fashion college students to show their work and h&m had a catwalk last time too with little competitons and things.

well worth a look

they have a website http://www.clotheshowlive.com/

^ Okay thanks :flower:

I went on Saturday and I thought it was great

I particularly liked the clothes in the Oasis show, especially the black cocktail dress with the big white belt (similar to Roland Mouret's Galaxy dress).

I went yesterday. Other than the fact Select put me on their new runway (they had some model they spotted last year walking, and had all the people they spotted this year trying to copy her) which was fun, it was crap. It wasn't remotely about clothes. There was not one single thing that I wanted to buy. It was tacky rubbish. As for the show on the main stage, it was about dancers gyrating and little girls screaming at disgusting waxed men. I thought I had accidentally ended up at the Chippendales.

i know what you mean about buying the clothes...nothing there at all, although i did get a nice little bag. I agree about the show on the main stage too, it was more about dancers. and when there was the actual clothes, you couldn't even see them! they could have at least had something on the side screens like when there are gigs there -it was just too big. The bit I enjoyed the most was watching the college and designer catwalk ^_^

i apologise for some poor photography. i don't know how to change my camera's shutter speed so i couldn't get very accurate ones, but ohhh well, and a few heads and things got in the way...
