The Dead Weather

I just saw them in Detroit last night and they were amazing! "Hang you from the heavens" and "Treat me like your mother" were my favorite songs. After the gig, we went to the after-party and met the band, including Alison Mosshart and Jack White. They were so sweet. I talked to Alison for about half an hour and she told me to find her at their next gig in Detroit (next month). I also talked to the guitarist, Dean, for about half an hour and made a fool of myself!

I AM SO JEALOUSSS! I've always wanted to approach Alison before her gigs (b/c she tends to linger around during the opening act) but I've always been afraid to. I think I may try it next time!

good luck! she's a goddess. i stood motionless in front of her at the afterparty for half an hour, talking to the guitarist and staring at her, trying to get the balls to approach her. finally my friend just started talking to her and it turned out that she's very friendly and talkative. i asked her about everything from her boots (she has four gold pairs made by hedi slimane for dior) to the arctic monkeys and the last shadow puppets (she can understand alex turner's accent in person but not on the phone).

WOWOOW! i saw her play with the kills at the glasshouse a few weeks back. she's getting better and better everytime i see them live! i hope i can get tix for the show at the wiltern..

Alison looks so friendly on the picture, lucky you! I don't know if I'll have the chance to meet her at their Paris gig next monday but I can't wait to see them live!

I saw them on monday night in Paris and the show was awesome. Too bad it was only one hour long. I really liked songs like New Pony and Weapon where they all sing along.

I've been searching but found nothing so far. I've ripped some youtube videos but the sound isn't that good. I hope bootlegs will surface eventually.

I have been looking forward to this album since I first heard about it. Two awesome bands combined to one. From what I have heard it sounds like its going to be pretty damn good. I am jealous of those who have seen them. Wish bands like them came down to my parts.
