The Dead Weather

^ Haha that is fantastic! So glad you enjoyed the experience! I think I would have been buzzing the whole way through the performance! :buzz: :P

It was so amazing, I never wanted it to end! Of course, I had already seen them at the Wiltern as a birthday present from another friend, so I was basically jumping up and down in excitement at the Jimmy Kimmel taping.

It took awhile for their first album to grow on me, and then I saw them live and was completely sold on them. Excited for the next album.

Jack White has revealed that The Dead Weather's new album will be out in April

Talking to Australian radio station Triple J, White gave an update on the follow-up to 2009's debut 'Horehound'.

"The Dead Weather are finishing recording the last couple of songs," White said. "I'm going to start mixing in the next two weeks, so yeah, it should be out in April."

As for the sound of the album, White added that the record was "bluesier and heavier than we ever thought we could be" and stated that the first single, 'Blue Blood Blues', would see him take on vocal duties, instead of Alison Mosshart.

As previously reported, The Dead Weather gave an update on the new album back in October, when they appeared live on NME Radio.

I just bought tickets to their Melbourne show-SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Excited!!!

I went to the concert in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent! I snapped a little i-phone picture of Alison for you all!

They also previewed the video to die by the drop on their site for a few days last week and it's so so great!!

Does anyone know if there is some new bootleg available? I really want to hear what the new songs sound like!!

i saw them about 3 weeks ago and they blew my mind. i'm already a huge kills, white stripes, raconteurs, greenhornes, qotsa (have i missed any bands?) fan but all of that combined was just amaaaazing. alison + jack, just ugh, so good. their album grew on me more post-show. they totally rule live though.

It was! If you go on iTunes and type in "Die by the Drop" you will see the music video is listed there for free download.

i hope they come back to Southern California soon :(

me too. i couldn't swing coachella....and it was their only so-cal show. bummer! they were so b*tchin at the wiltern

Anyone could post a link to the Coachelle bootleg? The ones I found don't work anymore.

^ I got the album on itunes so i didn't get a booklet.
With certain artists that doesn't bother me but with them I want the artwork so I'm still gonna purchase the CD, or better yet the vinyl if I can get my hands on it.

Just purchased my tics to see them in July. I'm stoked!!!:woot: I missed them last year when they came to my town.

Thanks for sharing the artwork-I also purchased from itunes, regretfully!
