Tiffany- why not try at least. You don't have to tell them when you bought it, just say you don't have the receipt anymore and see what happens... (I know that's not nice...but it's money, right? It'll probably end up at h&m anyway... )

You can't return it no... if the store no longer has it in stock or it's past season (and if that jackets a year old it's likely to be two seasons past) they wont do anything, not even store credit for it.

I wouldn't advise trying that.

It's very obvious which season the jacket will be from, as the tag shall tell them. Aside from the fact, it's just not something I think anybody should be doing really.

Well I certainly wasnt trying to do anything mean. I know that some stores do let you return things for store credit only even if it has been a very long time & it said nothing on their receipts as to how long it can be to receive a store credit... it only says how long it has to be to get a money refund so I just thought Id ask. It might not be a full year... I dont know but I was only asking their policy so I could buy another H&M item that I would wear... not to scam them or anything like that (Ive never been that kind of person to take advantage of a store... heck I give stores money from the self check out when its only just gave me a penny over lol). Its easy enough just to sell the jacket on Ebay.

E-bay will be a much better bet in this case I think.

The stores will take an item without a receipt and exchange for store credit/another item that's the same as the garment's current selling price; if the item still has tags, the item is current season, and if they still have it in stock within that store.

Got an email that US stores are doing a buy one get one 50% off (coupon). My printer is broken. Does anyone know if they are handing out the coupon in stores? I know they do that on occasion so Im hoping.

Wouldn't they just scan it and give you a store credit for whatever the current price is?

Which will be risky, since sometimes the sale price is just so low you might as well keep it!

To all the Germans: if you want to order any kind of pants/jeans from the online-store try the code "8572" for 25% off. I don't know for whom this works exactly because some of my friends did get the discount others didn't. It's a little weird. The code is valid until the 4th of October.
