I was told that laser hair removal doesn't always last forever, because hormonal changes can trigger dormant hair folicles. I guess that's what happened to me. So now I wax a couple of times in summer and use a trimmer the rest of the year...MaggieTheCat said:Me too! Well yesterday, actually. Double ouch! It nearly brought tears to my eyes. I'm satisfied with the result, but a little worried about the next weeks. I'm very prone to ingrowns and bumps that turn into little pimples, so I'm using Tend Skin and talc everyday.
I did laser hair removal a couple of years ago, and it worked initially - the hairs naturally fell - but eventually everything grew back.I was told that laser hair removal doesn't always last forever, because hormonal changes can trigger dormant hair folicles. Which means I have to just forget about it (I don't think I'm capable of that, plus what about bikinis and superlowrise jeans?) or start shaving or wax it myself.
I guess this is a little of a vent unless anyone has advice for at-home techniques... Has anyone been successful at waxing themselves?

And when I am waxed the regrowth in between is thinner, softer, straighter, finer. At least it seems so. Ah well since I can't afford it right now, I'll have to put up with it...

I was wondering, if you go to get a wax, do they ask your age? Or are there restrictions? I'd hate to go and not be able to get it done, you know?
