The How Do I Get This Look? Thread

I should have a makeup quota. I have so much crap, and to be honest, I am not a daily makeup wearer, so I really should only buy as quickly as I know I will use it but I love having all differnt colours, and everything to choose from when I do wear it!

Getting this look

Beautiful girls: any idea how to get this look? (Anja Rubik and Julia Stegner, Chloe S/S 2005)

looks like thick lush lined and layered with multiple coats of mascara eyes. Powder and pencil lined smudged on the bottom lashes and thick on the top, with highlighter on the eye lid and cheek bones. Mauve lipstick and lip balm. The hair has been slept on with shine serum added and the rest is very nice lighting

Get a tan.

Use a moisturizing foundation. Add a bit of shimmer above your cheek area. Use a pink-peach blush, blend.

Line your eyes (up and lower) inside and outside with a black pencil. Then use a very very dark gray shadow on your top lid up to your lid's crease. A tiny bit under your eyes too. Using a creamshimmery pale fuschia eyeshadow, blend with fingers into the dark gray shadow above the crease area.

Use a shimmery silver-white cream shadow one your brow bone, blend blend blend, and some in the inner corner of your eyes. Add on 2 coats of lash curving mascara in black.

Use a very sheer moisturizing lipstick in a pinkish-fuschia color.

There you go.

what about the HAIR, though??! it's nuts!! pretty, but I have no idea how it got that way.

THE HAIR !

How Do I Get This Look ?

I saw this picture in the " American top models " thread. I really like the make up. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this look ?
And possibly some advice what brand/colours to use ?

:flower:

- Use an overall matte foundation with great coverage and that is a great match to your skin, blend blend blend

- Use pressed powder on top of your foundation to even out areas

- Use a peach colored blush and swipe it on top of your cheekbones. Then using a semi dark bronzer blush, swipe it below the area you've just applied to create the illusion of a jawline.

- Line your eyes on top and inside your eyes (this time top and lower lid) with a dark brown pencil. Use a shimmery taupe eyeshadow on your top lid and have it cover all of your lid. Then using a dark dark taupe shimmery eyeshadow, blend it in the outer edge of your top and lower parts of your eye. Then, using a shimmery silver cream eyeshadow, use it to highlight the inner corner of your eyes, as well as the inner corner BELOW your eyes, and extend it a bit to the outer edge of your eyes (don't go beyond the middle of your eyes).

- Line your lips with a medium brown-red pencil. Then put on a muted pink-beige lipstick all over your lips.

- Use a roll-on (the kind of glosses that are watery, like NYC) clear gloss on your lips.

VOILA!!!! :flower:

yes if someone could please tell me how to do this to my hair as well. I bought that beach waves stuff again, it worked great when my hair was super short, but its to long and im guessing heavy to hold. I asked my hair guy to give me a cut that would make it easier to achieve this look and its just not working.

Should I maybe try like twisting it with the wax/beach waves combo and then pinning it up wiht some bobby pins till its dry or maybe blasting it with the hair dryer. =T hmmm

If you don't live near the sea I'm quiet sure bumble and bumble and a couple of other major hair product brands launched hair products to give hair that beachy effect a couple of seasons ago:flower:

thanks! ill def. have to try this look sometime..

and yeah the hair is really fresh and pretty too--you can try "scrunching" it to give it that beachy look
