The How Do I Get This Look? Thread

Thanks a lot for your advice. Do you happen to know any brands of liquid liner that would do what you say? I've only tried a Revlon liquid liner but it was a b*tch! ^_^

You should try gel liners, too. They're easier to handle :)
MAC Fluidline and Bobbi Brown's Gel Liner are amazing.

What do you all think Magdalena is wearing here? How would I wear these shades of makeup without looking totally washed out and tired? Because if I don't line my eyes with something dark that's what usually happens. Thanks!

sorry I deleted your post thed, I've restored it.... I 'fixated' on you tFS credit (you can't credit tFS threads) and missed  the 'watermark' at the bottom of the picture.

I think she is wearing a number of eyeshadows.. grey, taupe, eggplant.. the best thing really would be if you printed the picture and took it to your local MAC store.. they would, if they are any good, be able to adjust the colors to suit your coloring and stay similar to Keira's.

There are quiet a few tutorials on smokey eyes here : Arabian / Smokey eye Look

no worries, i didn't know that anyway, thank you. i'll definetly find a mac store!

^I would suggest a taupe like MAC Smoke & Diamonds eyeshadow (sold out, so if you can't find it, Stila Diamond Lil e/s is similar) on the lid, with a dark grey e/s (maybe MAC Knight Divine) underneath the eye and a matte light brown (MAC Wedge or Cork) in the crease.

Something like this?

Does anyone know any eyeshadows with these colours? Palettes maybe?)

I really love a hint of dark liner on eyes, but whenever I try it with a kohl or liquid it doesn't look quite right...
Does anyone know what Ana Beatriz Barros (or her make-up artist) would have used to get this kind of liner?

This looks like nothing more than black khol/kajal pencil on her upper and lower waterline, and a tightlined upper lashline.

Try Rimmel's soft kohl pencil, or Revlon's Colorstay pencil (which I prefer, because it's an intense black, stays forever, and doesn't smudge!).

I would try MAC's Honeylove or maybe Blankety. Really, your best bet is to go to a counter and try some out - the suggestions may not work on your skintone.

I have an event coming up and I'm keen to have this look from Prada a few seasons ago, however I will probably use a Green where they have used the plum colour. Any ideas of the steps and products I would recreate this with?

This one's pretty simple: How do I get the pink lips from Proenza Schouler S/S 07?

^ In that show, they used Lancome's "Proenza Pink" -lipstick, that was created exclusively for the show. It was sold as a limited edition in last year, so it's not available anymore, but probably MAC for example has some similar milky pink colour.
