The 'Imported Issue Arrivals' Thread

I haven't seen March US Vogue turn up in any UK store near me - I ended up buying two copies of US Bazaar when it arrived last week.

^American Vogue's now out here in the UK, the larger format and remains priced at £7.50!

The transgender cover of Vogue Paris turned up in my stores this morning - I think it's the March issue? It's been that long in arriving, I've actually forgotten. Happy to see it, I've been waiting a while...

The Christy Turlington issue of Vogue Paris was sitting in the store today - it feels like the previous one was literally on sale for a week and no more.

Also, it's been out for a while now, but I noticed the March Vogue Italia didn't seem to have a couture supplement as part of the plastic wrapped bundle, only the smaller accessories magazine?

^Really? Mine came with the couture supplement! It was priced at £9.00 as per the usual Italian Vogue March and September cover price but mine did indeed come with both the couture and accessories supplements. Odd your copy never tigerrogue!

As I posted in the thread of Vogue Italia March 2017, here in China we don't have the couture supplement wrapped with the main issue either, only with Accessory one. I am wondering why they stop including the couture supplement in certain countries.

However, it's even stranger that Vogue28 got the couture supplement (I assume both of you live in the UK?)

Bump! :ninja:

Anyone notice the imported copies of US Vogue have came without the hideous 'American Edition' label slapped on the cover of the November issue? Hopefully this continues.

^And in response to my own comment - it hasn't. The 'American Edition' label back on with the December copies, which have just arrived here in the UK. Also I've noticed the issue now costs £8.95 which is just ludicrous. These price increases need to stop if the magazines aren't getting better!

I was looking forward to getting a copy tonight when I noticed it was nearly nine quid!

I still haven't seen US Bazaar hit the shelves.

Well, that's still cheaper than in most of the mainland!

Really? So I should be counting my blessings then? I still find it ludicrous that they could charge almost £10 for issues which almost resemble the likes of a leaflet.

I don't know, it's roughly the same here. What about W? We had a very steep price increase in the last year or so, it now costs 11.80 euros. Literally unbelievable.

The Emilia Clarke cover of US Bazaar has arrived, according to newsstand.co.uk, but I didn't ever see the Angelina one? Did the November issue turn up anywhere in the UK?

^Yeah, I noticed the November issue with Angelina Jolie on the shelves here but Newsstand failed to upload the cover onto their site. They did have the issue in stock, because I had accidentally per-ordered November when ordering the October edition and they did indeed send November weeks later.

In addition, I've also noticed American Harper's Bazaar has increased in price too. Not by much... but it's increased for the first time in months (if not years).

You think that's bad let me breakdown the prices in America:

I'm USD

Vogue U.K. 12.99
Vogue Paris 15.95
Vogue Italia 19.95
Vogue Japan 29.95
Numero 15.95
Dazed 9.95
Love 19.99

I don't even want to here your complaints about prices. An issue has to be amazing for me to splurge on. If prices were similar to the U.K. I would have a collection like vogue28 without a doubt.

^I had no idea whatsoever that the prices were so inflated in the States! Thanks for shedding some light on the subject for us, GivenchyHomme. I will definitely think twice when complaining now, and leave this thread with my tail between my legs. Ha!

*Bump!

How long does it want to take for the December/January issue of Vogue Paris to arrive here in the UK? We're usually lucky enough to have it before Christmas but evidently not this year. Also Vogue Russia seems late.

I was expecting to see it a few days before Christmas, considering the November issue had been taken off the shelves.

Newsstand.co.uk lists no exact date for arrival, and I'll probably not start looking for it again until after the New Year.

Still no sign of the Dec-Jan Vogue Paris in the shops near me - and I notice newsstand.co.uk is now listing the February issue (issue 1004) as arriving on 14/02/2020.

That's odd! Even in Croatia (we're usually a month behind) I saw it on a couple of newsstands. Unfortunately the prices are insane I had to leave it on the shelf, but it looks quite lovely in person.
