Sutton's Awesome Ensemble
We have been counting down the days until The Lying Game premiere and it has finally arrived. Without question, we loved it! The story, the relationships and the fashion! We are totally hooked and we are only one hour in. So let’s get to Sutton. She is classic, refined and impossibly chic. Her wardrobe is what fashion dreams are made of. Even her casual clothes scream magazine cover. We picked this outfit to showcase because it is one that we can all replicate. A great jacket and a cool casual pair of pants are a must this fall. You can mix and match these pieces into your wardrobe in so many combinations. They are certain to become part of your wardrobe staples.

Party Dresses
Party dresses are always a need in every fashionista’s closet. Emma and Sutton’s friends are beyond fashionable in their party attire, wouldn’t you say? We all don’t have access to buying the latest looks right off of the runway like they do, but we do have creative ways to pull off these high-end looks. These days, we have access to just about every style and price point you could imagine. From online to local vintage stores to everything in between, there are no limits to our imagination. Get creative and know that finding your favorite looks is doable and a great challenge to accomplish.

Before we jump into fall and out of summer, let’s just take one last moment to enjoy the pool. Emma looks picture perfect in Sutton's bright, bold bikini. Back-to-School Outfits
Back to school is a big deal right? You haven’t seen your classmates in three months and you want to put together the perfect look to start the year off with a bang. The ladies of The Lying Game sure do know how to make an entrance on their first day back. They all look totally amazing in their own unique ways. Whether you are a dress girl, into shorts or won’t wear anything other than booties, choosing something that expresses your own personal style is most important. Don’t get caught up in labels and price and only indulge in trends that make you feel comfortable. Being able to pull your look off with confidence is the key to your back to school debut.

Tennis Attire
Working out has certainly taken a turn towards the fashionable and tennis outfits have been at the front of the pack. We think we have Serena and Venus to thank for opening the door to fashion on the court, and Nisha and Emma look fab in their tennis attire. If you spend a good amount of time on the court or in a gym, take some time to put together great outfits. Fit is still uber important but these days you can get great fit at reasonable prices in colors and styles that can rival any Homecoming dress.

Emma's Pink Dress with a Flower
We have to admit that in theory we wouldn’t say that we love pink or flowers in our fashion. The idea seems way too girly but when we saw Emma in her chic and sophisticated dress it made us rethink our entire position. The combination of the two makes Emma looks fresh and current. The flower adds a great pop of texture and detailing. If this is how pink flowers would look on us then maybe we need to make room in our closets!!

Bright Summer Dresses for Emma and Mads
Don’t we all love to wear black? We agree that there is a time and place for black in every fashionista’s wardrobe but we couldn’t help but be smitten with Emma and Mads in their bright summer dresses. Colors certainly bring out a totally different fashion personality and this is a good thing. Before the summer ends, make the effort to keep color in your wardrobe. The warm weather inspires bright clothing so keep your black put away for a couple more weeks.

The idea of shorts as a fashion-forward part of your wardrobe is a relatively new concept. During the last couple of years, designers have really changed how we view shorts. From high-waists, super short hemlines, bold prints and bright colors are now all descriptions to describe all of the short options available out there. The Lying Game Style Story: Double Dibs

Laurel's Floral Skirt
You'd think Laurel would constantly be overshadowed with high-profile Sutton as an older sister, but she seems to be doing just fine. Laurel's fashion sense is totally enviable, and we find ourselves loving everything she puts on. Her look is young, fresh and totally hip. Trying to live up to an older sister’s look is a tough job but just remember that you are your own fashion story. It is up to you to create and execute your own look and chances are your big sis would love to help you...and maybe even lend you a few things along the way!

Char's Shorts Ensemble
When the going gets tough, Char gets shopping. And boy, this girl can shop! She has a very girlie vibe and lots of amazing pieces to show for all the time she spends at the mall. We love this ensemble, and the belt she wears so perfectly complement her shorts. Belts serve so many purposes beyond keeping things in place. They can create a waist if you have a straight figure, show off your waist if it is an asset you love or tie an entire outfit together with color and texture. We are big fans of investing in a great belt collection!

Emma's Blue Jumper
Jumpers have been such a hit this summer, and the one Emma's wearing here is no exception.The best thing about this look is that it's perfectly tailored, fitting her like a glove. Having clothing that fits properly can make a huge difference, no matter what style you subscribe to. If something doesn’t fit you well, then it doesn’t matter if it is off a designer’s runway or out of a sale bin, it is not going to look good. Taking the time to get things altered is just as important as the look. Fit is everything.

If variety is the spice of life, then Sutton’s closet must be SUPER spicy! It's hard to pinpoint Sutton’s style because we've already seen so many different looks from her and the season has just begun. One thing we do know is that this girl loves color. We have yet to see her in black and this printed dress is another bold, gorgeous choice. For all you girls out there who stick to black, take a cue from Sutton’s closet and bust out the bright stuff! Apparently, a life without a ton of black clothes can be done. Who knew??

Accessories are such a huge part of a complete wardrobe, but it can be tricky to know which earrings or necklace to wear with a dress or top. Luckily, Char and Mads seem to know a little something about this topic. They have two of the most amazing wardrobes we have ever seen on TV, so we know they are pros at the fashion balancing act. Laurel's First Date Look
A first date can be nerve racking in so many ways. What to talk about, where to go and what to wear are always big decisions. So for Laurel’s first date with Justin, she chooses the perfect outfit for no added stress. She looks cute, comfortable and totally stylish. Just when we thought there was NO way that Sutton would have a simple T-shirt and jeans in her extensive wardrobe, she proves us wrong. This week she does casual perfectly in a great T-shirt and jeans. Truth be told, we think she looks just as amazing in this simple outfit as she does in any fabulous party dress. Sutton shows us that even the most fashion-forward ladies have a need for the basics. Great staples are always required for a complete wardrobe. Even if you treat every day like a runway show, we guarantee there will come a time when you need the perfect tee.

Grey Jeans and Loose Shirt for Mads
Mads has a flair for the dramatic and an eye for high fashion so when she does casual it is not your everyday casual. We love the look of her skinny jeans with the loose top. They are a great compliment to one another. The proportions are perfect and we love the volume on top. This is a great reminder that clothing doesn’t all have to be super tight to be young and stylish. Sometimes a piece that is a little less fitted is more flattering than something skin tight.

As much as we are all excited about fall fashion, it’s still a bit too warm to break out our favorite boots and faux furs! Finish off the summer in style like Emma! White is the color of the summer and Emma deserves an A+ for her chic outfit. We love a great pair of high-waisted shorts, and this particular pair is absolutely amazing. Tailored shorts are a great item to wear year-around with an interesting pair of wedges or flats in the summer and with a pair of printed tights in the winter. The fit of the shorts is key, so make sure that they aren’t too short or too tight, and come about as high as your bellybutton. The perfect pair of shorts is only half the battle; picking the right top to pair it with is the rest of the battle. The number one thing to remember is that your shirt should always be tucked in to guarantee a very pulled together look. Look for shirts that aren’t too long or frumpy so that they will easily tuck in to your shorts without adding a ton of bulk. If your shorts are a bit on the shorter side, try pairing a ¾ length blouse with it to balance things out. Sequins have been the go-to trend for a while now, but the trend is not completely going away either. Instead of opting for over-the-top flashy sequins, go for updated versions of this trend that are more subtle and muted. Laurel certainly is one of our favorite fashionistas. She is bright, bubbly and full of energy and her clothes seem to totally match her personality. Every week she looks radiant and free in bright colors and this week is no different. We love her pink dress and the yellow bag she wears with it. This is a perfect example of mixing colors. You don’t have to always wear things that match. Mixing colors that compliment each other is a great way to add variety and a punch.

Char's Campaigning Attire
Nobody ever said that becoming Homecoming queen was an easy job but Char seems to know exactly what needs to get done to make this feat happen. She also knows exactly how to look like a pro while doing it. She looks polished, professional and still age appropriate. There are times in all of our wardrobe lives where we need to step it up a notch. Whether it be for work or a school function, there is a time and place for a more conservative approach but as Char shows us, you do not have to lose own personal style in the process.

We are secretly really starting to like Emma and Ethan together. So when they had their real first date, we were anxious to see what Emma would wear. And she did not disappoint! Who says sequins needs to be saved for cocktail attire? Sequins have made their way into our every day life and we couldn’t be happier about it. When you want to add a few sequin pieces to your closet, look for cuts that are classic. A shift dress, a blazer and tank tops are a few great ways to wear sequins without the look coming off too dressy.

Laurel is such a pretty, feminine fashionista, always wearing pink, flowers and dresses. If she wears black, it is certainly in a pretty way, which is exactly why we love this dress on her!
