i actually like a lot of the looks where it's looser on top... makes it look a lot classier than tight all over, and a lot more wearable imo..

layering with tights will also help this trend, because when legs are encased by opaque black tights they definitely seem much more modest and covered up... will give the look a bit of balance

edit- though i'm prob still in the winter state of mind when i mention opaque tights so maybe this is only relevant for those who want to stay ahead of the trends and start with the short stuff now

I thought the length and fit of the short skirts at jil sander was great
also pretty timeless imo...
kind of wardrobe staples, which the brand is really good at imo..
