It was rightfully killed off in the 90s, but has since made a comeback. Can anyone explain why?

I think it has a lot to do with the whole hipster thing.... I am not a fan of mullet, NEVER EVER! :ninja:

My only explanation for it is that the world is being punished for something very, very bad. Instead of plagues of locusts and frogs, we're being plagued by mullets. And I have this sneaky feeling that if this trend isn't squished like a cockroach immediately, the world is going to end.

NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

 :yuk: :ninja:  :hardhead:

Does anyone have pics of models or celebs sporting the do in 2005? :p

I think it would look cute on Maddox... but then any funky hairdo looks good on him. Nobody else :ninja:

I'm still a bit confused as to what the feared mullet exactly is  Haven't spotted them here yet I think (Netherlands). Isn't the original mullet horribly voluminous on top?

egh, australia is the worst place for mullets - you walk down the street some people are still wearin them! but whatever makes them happy i suppose...:innocent:

I hate to say it but Mullets have been a trend amongst "hipster" kids in Australia for about 3 or so years now. It's getting old.
I personally hate it, I couldn't think of anything more try hard. Having said that some girls really suit them but if I see one more girl with faux skunk mullet I will be sick. They're EVERYWHERE! :yuk:
(For anyone wondering: A skunk mullet is a poker straight hair-do, shoulder length, which is shorter on top and the under side is dark brown or black, the hair that covers it is blonde. Yep, gross and you've probably all seen them a million times in you're own countries too!)
