Mullets are back!!

I've been seeing mullets all over the city; I guess there back.

I have a picture that I'll post once I recharge my batteries.

These 'fashion' mullets are all over Melbourne (Australia) especially amongst teens with ethnic backgrounds. They tend to layer the whole length of hair, and create extra volume at the top...in most cases they have dark hair (and sometime blocked chunks of a colour). I think it looks edgy and fantastic when its done right...although it is a little too extreme for my own tastes. I wish I had pictures to show, because its hard to believe that the modern take on mullets could look so good.

i agree.. i think the modern take on the mullet is great. its not so much different from short shaggy hair on girls.. it just has more length..

I think it depends on the person's style. I personally only like it on punks and thrashers. I think it is silly when someone is elegantly dressed with a mullet.

i love the asian mullets.. the anime style. thats what i try to aim for
i think the scenester mullets have taken a lot of the style from the anime hair...

yea i've seen a lot of the softer side of the mullet in japan. i've seen a couple of actresses and singers (don't remember their names tho) with it but it looks good. it doesn't reallly look like the old mullet that everyone's talking about.

note: i do hate the old mullet. the korean artist boa came out with it a while ago and i hated it and still do.
