The New Gothic / Neogoth

I think this is my favourite - a knee-length dress with leather corset belt (I couldn't be bothered lacing it up properly at the back for the pics! Was taking aaaggges!)

 I'm so surprised everyone liked the collar! Thanks!! :D You guys are so encouraging!!

I'm a bit scared to throw it in the washing machine, SoftGrey! The threads coming off the chiffon are so bad they will probably strangle me the first time I wear it, so can't imagine what it will be like when it comes out the machine!! But now you've mentioned it, I'm feeling like I should!!
note-i would put it in a mesh lingerie bag if you have one to keep it from getting 'snagged' or damaged in the wash...

i think washing will also get rid of a lot of the extra loose threads...
you might have to trim it a bit of all the loose threads afterwards...
but i just know that i would like the softer, slightly 'vintage' feeling that it would get after going through the wash...
that's the feeling a lot of my fave comme des garcons pieces have and it reminds me so much of that aesthetic...
:flower:

*hang dry of course!...
;)

^ those are so lovely, hanne. :flower: I especially love 2 and 3. I can't really afford anthropologie myself, but they're always quite good at tapping into historical-influenced trends and recreating them in a nouveau way.

oh hanne...i love #2...... and #3 is lovely as well...
yes anthropologie has some great gothic stuff...
it's a very pretty season in that store ...

celebs are doing it...why can't you?!?...
:innocent:
credit-style.dom...

such a good idea, thanks! I would never have thought of washing it in a mesh bag - I'm sure it will give it the right finishing touch it needs! :flower:

(I had a day off & decided to call a team to come shoot these clothes and we made 6 bloody fantastic photos! The clothes looked so great on a model, and she said they were the nicest clothes she's had to wear in ages!! :D )

you're most welcome...:D

aw...that sounds like so much fun!!...
wish i was there...shoots are my favourite part of the job...
especially when you just get to play like that!!...

You're right! It was a great way to spend a day off. Hassle-free and lots of fun! The shots are being sent to an illustrator to put in some dark, eerie drawings to give them a creepier Gothic feeling. If I'm feeling brave, I'll post one or two when they're finished

ooooohhh...i hope you do...please....:flower:
it's fun to share...

That dress Hillery Duff is wearing.. I didn't see that on H&M's website.. are you sure Softie ?

i know hanne...
maybe her stylist put the rope around it...
or maybe it was credited wrong and is really stella mccartney mainline?...
or maybe it's the green dress without the belt in another colour...
cause the site doesn't show all the colours...

that's all i know...:flower:

Okay :D ..because that dress is just about the only appealing thing..apart from the underwear that look okay'ish

i  this thread. I'll read all the pages of it. I think it's much more
informative than vogue us. I defnitly learned much more reading it.:flower:
