very pretty softie...love the contrasting sleeves. ^_^
thanks dear....

that bit of layering made all the difference in the world imo...
so glad you noticed the detail...good eye...:flower:...

ta-ta...you had me drooling over that description with the heck piece and things hanging down...

i'm always a sucker for anything hanging down...:innocent:...
;)...

loving the anthropologie dress as well...
...

ooops...
and thank you to cbcb and caramel for the compliments......

^ Very nice! No need to ask how you came up with your tFS username :p

Soft - loving that look as well! Is that a wedge boot or a french heel (or other..)? Too bad about the Phillip Lim dress :(

oooh....that is a beautiful jkt luckyme...
hope you will post a pic of how you wear it...
i would love to see.....

thanks curious...these are the boots ...
michel perry...
the heel is very specific i think....if you know what i mean...

 They're gorgeous! The shape is perfect & the heel's not too dainty. Love! Thanks for the detail shot. By 'specific', do you mean defying a typical heel definition? If so, I do know what you mean :D A stacked french heel maybe?

my pleasure...
glad you approve...:flower:

no...i mean that it isn't necessarily very versatile...
it has a very 'specific' feel or attitude which makes some sort of statement...
it's a subtle statement...but it's still strong, imo...
it's a specific 'attitude'...
i think shoes have a LOT of attitude...
they can completely make or break a look...or change it completely...
;)

i have my other blk boots that are much more accessible imo...
:p

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation. Yes, a shoe is very powerful weapon

what do you think softgrey... is this the right kind of granny?
ninewest.com
(btw, i think their shoes have improved a lot in the past year)
i still think there is something not quite right about them...
can't put my finger on it just yet...

well...
i like those calexico...
i gave up on 9wst sometime last year...
so i will have to have another look now that you posted these...

the only issue i can see is that they are wide at the top...
which is great for some people...
and not so great for some others (including me)...

the way they tied that bow is soooooo goofy ......

***what i might do is....
cut the laces right below the 3 big ones and make a permanent knot...
then take some lovely wider ribbon and lace up the 3 big holes...
maybe even lace them from the top down and tie a nice fluffy bow...
to soften them a bit and make them 'prettier'
...

waddaya think?...:D

Oooh, lucky, what a *gorgeous* jacket ... I too would love to see how you style it.

Like the boots, look a lot like Stella's as I recall ... and love the idea of lacing with ribbon. This was featured in a magazine recently, maybe Bazaar?? I think it was shown with Burberry's eelskin boots and purple ribbon ... I thought those boots were great, but they didn't go with my fall theme :p

Btw, am wearing my coat posted above for the first time today ... enjoying it, esp the sleeves :flower:

alright that's it...
going to buy the new issue of bazaar...
i usually don't buy or read any magazines...
but everyone seems to keep talking about bazaar this month and i really like the lindbergh story...

...

ta-ta...wish we could see...
i'm sure you look very pretty...:winkiss:...

great ribbon idea, softgrey!
i'd use black ribbon and try to replace the top three rivets in a different color... red?
i think that would be *me*
it's the details, no?

do check ninewest out
i was never a big fan
but lately they have been coming up with some nice silhouettes that are actually very elegant...

I can't understand it because I must have a wide selection of fashion magazines at all times ;) But btw, I just got my Dec Bazaar yesterday I think, so that is now the old issue ... but I also saw it at a drugstore today, so if you hurry you should be able to find it someplace that's slow putting out new magazine stock.

Thank you, darling ^_^ Btw, I stopped by the boutique that is the latest word around here, I'm sure they must have the best selection of CDG, for example ... they carry Marni footwear, don't know of anywhere else to get it around here ... and they loved my bag, tights, & shoes ... their buyer said it was nice to see me wearing tights, that here everyone either goes bare-legged or wears sheer. I said that I didn't really fit in here, and the SA said that was no bad thing

Anyway, getting to the reason I came here ... you will never believe what I did today.

So after some targeted shopping (and eating!) uptown, I got back on the highway, and it was hideous. So I got back off to check out our new Nordstrom's, which has two depts our other Nordstroms don't--Collector and Couture, and I never made it to Couture. So they had a pretty decent selection of Chloe and Marc Jacobs resort ... and I ended up buying a Marc Jacobs blouse :innocent:

It's really quite lovely, the Edwardian look I've been wanting for spring ... and also quite flattering. I was going to go to great lengths to get the pic in here, but it's worthless because it's styled so differently on the model *and* looks so different on her than me (but it's the pearl grey blouse in #15). So it has this lovely rolled collar, comes down to a V & the collar continues as a ruffle down the front. Drawstring waist that can be worn ballooned as on MJ website, but I think looks much better worn long with the drawstring showing. The back has a bit of a bubble effect, but falls in at the waist. I hope this verbal description is working  Anyway, suffice it to say that I'm certain you would love it. Oh, pretty sure it's the same silk and cotton blend as the skirt I tried on. And the sleeves puff, end just above elbow.

Btw, I have been chatting with my brother (resident hardware expert) about digital camera options :innocent:
