i love your friend! best present ever!!! i've wanted one ever since the movie came out, such a beautiful design:wub:

Some Potter news: :D

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part One has been short-listed for a visual effects Oscar nomination. The other films that made the short list in this category include, Alice in Wonderland, Hereafter, Inception, Iron Man 2, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Tron: LEGACY. The nominations will be announced January 20th.

I think HP is a shoo-in for a nomination. I just hope they actually win this time. :D

Deathly Hallows was also long-listed for the 2011 BAFTAS (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) in the following categories:

• Make Up & Hair
• Editing
• Special Visual Effects
• Costume Design
• Sound
• Production Design
• Cinematography
• Original Music

Also, Deathly Hallows has now grossed 903.1 million worldwide...making it the number 16 highest grossing film of all time. It still has at least another 3 months to go in the theaters, so it will no doubt continue to climb that list. I just love that it's made that much money without the help of 3D. The same can't be said for a lot of films that have been released in recent years. ;)

Also, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter sold it's 1 millionth Butterbeer and celebrated by giving 1000 park visitors free butterbeers. Here's a pic:

I went to the theme park two weeks ago! it was fantastic but all I have to say its go during slow season!!!!!!! I stood in line for 45 minutes just to get a butterbeer! another 45 to go into the stores to purchase items, etc. but I will say that the Harry Potter and the forbidden journey ride is worth alone the admission into the park!:flower:

^I think this is technically the slow season. lol.
Most people go to theme parks during the summer.

The wait times during the summer were around 2-5 hours and the lines were insane. ;)

Neville:heart:
i've always had a soft spot for him but he turned into one of my fave characters in the last book

Deathly Hallows Part One is now the #10 Highest Grossing film of all time.
It's earned a total of 938.3 million dollars worldwide...so far. :D

Also, Mugglenet.com did an interview with the popular Twitter user, Lord_Voldemort7--if you don't follow him, start now, he's HILARIOUS:

gLam_sussanex: Why do you hate Bieber that much? I don't like him either, but I'm curious...

I hate everyone. I thought this was pretty clear by now, what with that whole "most evil wizard of all time" thing that I have going on. There's also the possibility, as I've alluded to, that Bieber is actually one of my horcruxes. I mean, how else do you think he got famous? If that is the case, not saying it is or that it isn't, then there's probably some underlying psychological meaning about how I secretly hate myself. I don't really buy that though because I'm awesome. Another theory is that Bieber is the resurrected form of Colin Creevy. I mean, Diggory came back as a vampire... think about it. And let's be honest, nobody liked Colin Creevy. I think the real reason I hate Bieber is that he's a hypocrite. Never say Never? You just said never... twice. "I'm gonna tell you one time," LIES. Nobody lies to Lord Voldemort via a somewhat catchy bassline & gets away with it!

Tina_Patz2397: What do you look for in a woman?

I don't look for things in women. To do that I'd have to rip them open. That sounds messy. I prefer my killings to be of the patented 'Avada Kedavra' variety: Clean and clear and under control. Yes, Clean & Clear did steal that from me & yes I made them pay. Let's just say their acne product results will now make Eloise Midgen look like a cover model.

Mandapupsi: Why does your sarcasm have to be related with pop culture (Bieber, vampires) or even grammar?

My sarcasm doesn't HAVE to be related to anything because I don't HAVE to do anything. I often comment on the trending topics because I feel like it. Why? Why the $@#$ not?

Fionsc: Why are you still alive and Twittering instead of continuing to kill Harry Potter, and why aren't your tweets more about the Harry Potter world?
First of all, 'twittering' isn't a word. The correct term is 'tweeting.' I'm already not taking you seriously because of that. I'm also confused at how you seem to think you know what I'm doing. Maybe I am stalking Harry Potter as you read this. Maybe I'm stalking you. Maybe I'm sitting right behind you as you read this, inching closer & closer, preparing myself to strike. Not so cocky anymore, are you, "Fionsc?" As far as what I tweet about, I do what I want. Don't like it? I don't give a damn. It's one of the perks of that whole "evil" thing.

Cursivenight: What exactly do you do all day besides tweeting?
I like to curl up around a good spell-book and a glass of unicorn blood. Hide only one set of valuable objects so that people can't find them. Train DMV workers. Create traffic jams. In short, I make your life miserable. Cheers! When I'm not doing that I enjoy spending my time soul-searching...

LillyInHell: Will you marry me?
No.

BertieBotts: How did it feel to be beaten by a 1 year old?

I don't feel.

BertieBotts: Can you recommend any places for a nose job as good as yours?
Nobody will ever be as good as me.

EcdwHgAa: Were you always this funny? (even before your days on Twitter).
I mastered dark humor before I mastered Dark Arts.

SunnyWinterss: Do you hate MuggleNet for being "Muggle"Net?
Wait... I was under the impression the point of this site was to capture muggles in nets. Is that not the point? WHAT THE HELL???

My god this movie has been earning some cash! And the second part'll probably do the same.

perezhilton posted that they changed the location and mood of someone's death in part 2. i dont have the link on me right this second but perezhilton has it posted.

But ill summarize in white: Basically, from what I quickly read, is that they are changing the location of Snape's death to the "boathouse" rather than the "shack" and that JK Rowling approved it and that they are going to try to make his death more romantic"

It's article from Mugglenet (http://www.mugglenet.com/app/news/show/4114)

Andrew Ackland-Snow, the art director for the Harry Potter franchise, has revealed that Severus Snape will have a death scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 which is different from what's found in the book.
SPOILER WARNING
"We wanted to change a bit where Snape dies. In the book, he dies on the Shrieking Shack, and we wanted to get him out from, not a conventional interior, but from that kind of box, to do it in a more dramatic atmosphere. We asked J.K. if she agreed for that to happen in there, because we hadn't really seen it before. We made a crystal house, and you can see what happens in the boat house from there - Are you listening Harry? -, but also the school is in flames...and she loved it. Besides, it's a very romantic place to die. Snape dies in a extremely good way, I gotta say."
You may remember set designer Stuart Craig commented on Snape's death scene last February, commenting: "The last time I cried was a few days ago when we filmed the death of Alan Rickman's character, Snape. It's quite difficult to cry in rushes -- where we watch the previous day's work -- but he is an extraordinary actor and he dies an extremely good death."
