Right! British GQ, for instance, is one of the first pitstops for male politicians on a press tour. The kind of people complaining about that cannot be actual GQ, or magazine readers. Why is it ok for the first ladies to appear on Vogue then? Come to think of it, Julianna appeared fairly recently on Latin American Vogue.

His wife is hot too, but I don't know if they're doing the right thing for Venezuela. But I prefer those two over that Maduro guy, all the time. That Juliana Awada cover was polemic, and our president has a very bad image right now because the inflation and poverty grown. I didn't like that cover at that time, first because I like more models, and second, because I hate politics. That was the last issue under Kelly Talamas.

It's a pity Juan Guaidó's GQ cover story wasn't picked up enough by the English press (I think it may be a language issue?) because from a media angle it's a win for GQ Mexico/Latin America in the same way Beto's was for VF. The timing was just perfect. And there was an event tied to the cover. As The Guardian live reported the Venezuelan revolt, the vision of Juan in that crispy white shirt and chinos would instantly hark back to the cover, if you had seen it.

And the critics that 'it's a fashion magazine, he wasn't styled at all. He's wearing his own clothes throughout. So he's not selling anything other than politics.
