The "Plastic" Look

missbhaven said:
Y'know, I had plans to hit up the smokey palettes (I actually had a shopping list made for the weekend to attain that "plastic look") because I was tired of being the girl next door . But reading your message made me smile (esp. when you said "you'll probably attract guys who look/act like Eminem"!)...and you've made me stop and think. The type of guy who fawns over the makeup would probably drool over just about any smokey-eyed girl. No offence to the smokey vixens (which I think is great for special occasions), but I'll stick with my neutrals and browns for everyday. Thanks, VainJane. :flower:

Oh, wow, you're welcome

There are some 'plastic' looks that I really think are very pretty, like Holly Madison does plastic in a tasteful way. And I think the picture Golden Butterfly posted in post #70 is gorgeous; I love her makeup.

Christina Dolce is a little over the top, IMO, but I think plastic can be done in a way that is attractive without attracting creeps.

Lord, now I'm addicted to this thread

^ I def. agree Holly is a plastic girl but she has this classy look to her kind of like Dita...its very tasteful and not so trashy and generic like Christine Dolce typical highlights tons of dark eyeshadow, pale lips, and an overly tanned body.

my god...that disgusting peice of work on myspace makes me want to vom every time i see her photo.

Another example, some MySpace chick, Calida something or other....

But she wears it well.

god some of the myspace girls with the gigantic fake boobs, skunky hair, and stripper outfits are so overrated! they look so generic among the others with the same hair, body, and trashy outfits.

i kinda want the plastic look. the plastic look is what seems to work to get guys to think you are hot. they never see a girl withh a flat chest and no makeup and go..thats HOT
OH I KNOW, sometimes I think, maybe Ill be one of those plastique gays (you know, the A&F/Dsquared/Galliano type) but then Im like, I prefer flying under the radar, also I dont really like plastic guys too much, I prefer sex appeall...Oh daddy...

i think sometimes the plastic look can be sexy
i quite like kelly brook's eye and lip make up in these pics (click to enlarge) does anyone have any ideas on how to achieve this? I've read the whole thread but a lot of the shades recommended seem better suited to blonde skin tones

this thread is so funny. In the middle east most women wear make up like this..i call it p*rn star look..i mean they were this on a daily basis and is considered the only way to wear make up..even news anchors wear this type of make up....is too much..i mean there is one thing if you wear it on occasions..another if this is how you wear ur daily make up...imagine yhow your skin is going to suffer!!There is a make over show we have in the middle east, its called (honestly, you look better)..and they bring these women who have issues with their appearnce and teach them among other things how to put on make up..and the host (who also does the make up) liteerally PAINTS with the brush the face on...and uses neutral colors and says..well..see..you dont have to wear colors to look natural this is how you do it,,and paints layers and layers of make up! HAHAA..i mean the shape of your eyes, the size of your nose, your skin tone ,the size of your lips all change..ppl look so diff once the make up is removed..not a good thing ill post some pics
