wow this is such an interesting thread. i never understood the appeal of this look. i do find girls like this totally intimidating even though it looks terrible. i personally love a natural look with a little makeup.

I'm pretty sure that http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=rock+of+love&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2 is the Holy Grail of plastic looking makeup. No, wait! That would be http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=rock+of+love+daisy&btnG=Search+Images, all the other chicks on that show (and Bret, for that matter) truly have no plastic on that woman. Daisy is just a punch bowl and few middle-aged suburban moms shy of actually being a human Tupperware party.

Anyway! I'm not just here to criticize, honest. I'm currently in school to be a makeup artist, and was assigned to do something Vegas wedding-y, and decided to go all out plastic. Now, plastic is not really my style, but I mixed quite a bit of MAC pigment in bronze sparkle with some tinted moisturizer to make use as a highlighter on a pale girl and it was pretty nice! And I imagine that if you really wanted to plastic the hell out of yourself, this could be used all over, especially on a deeper skin tone. I'm curious to see how somebody who feels more comfortable with a heavier makeup look likes my experiment! So if anybody wants to try it and let me know how it went, do try it! That would be great.

^Daisy is definitely plastic, but in my opinion, not very pretty at all.....without the makeup she'd be nothing extraordinary. A lot of the other girls whose pictures have been posted here would look decent without the layers of makeup and stuff..

^That is TOO funny....I was watching a countdown of the most dramatic moments of Making the Band, Ms. O'Day herself was hosting-and in the clips from when the show first aired, I seriously-I mean, in no way, recognized her...compared to how she looks now:

it's also pretty apparent if you look on the HQs in her thread (from before this movie).. the only reason I'm upset is because I somewhat liked her as an actress!
