The Right Look To Go With Black Clothes

Hey everyone,I've always wondered what colours i should choose
for my make up when I'm dressed in all black ?
I've tried smoky eyes and nude lips wich gives me the " funeral " look,
I've tried pink eye shadow and colourless lipgloss,looks terrible.

Any tips on what colours i should choose for eyes/lips/cheeks ?

You can try the smokey eye but with warmer colours like browns. It´s very hot this season.
Instead of blush you can go for a sun powder to get the warmer look all over.

You can do a lot of different things since you would be wearing black. If you don't like the nude lip, try doing a lip color or gloss that is similar to your lip color. I just play around with things when I'm bored to see what I like and what goes well together. Swing by a makeup counter like MAC. They can give you tips without buying anything. Another thing I do, is if I need makeup, I go and get my make up done at MAC. It's fun and if you're going to spend $40, why not get a "free" makeover?!

That's a good question...now I think about it, it is hard getting makeup to look good with black clothes....I wear a lot of black, but don't really wear makeup, but maybe red lipstick? That might look pretty good!

Depending on your skin compexion, I would go with some lavender... greens are also fun. Experiment a little bit, use a little color!

It depends on your style if you're wearing black. Red lipstick with soft eyeshadow are good. Put little black eyeliner only at the outercorner, and use mascara a lot.

In the evening makeup style considers to your hairstyle too. In a party sleek chic hair were recommanded if you wearing all black.

I agree with the red lipsdtick suggestion. I think I remember seeing your picture in the photo thread, and I think red would look awesome on you. Try it out--I could be wrong, though.

I personally never wear red lipstick...mainly because it doesn't go with my complexion.

When I wear black I go for shimmery colours for the eyes and I do a plain/clear gloss for the lips.

I second that.

For shadow I suggest NARS Santorini in the crease and then Night Star on the rest of the lid. Then blend well so you dont end up looking like a hooker

Red lipstick is my favorite with black clothes. Also, a girl at work has dark hair, pale skin and she wears a lot of black. She has the cutest, rosiest cheeks and it looks great! She says she uses hot pink blush, and it works well if you blend blend blend.

I think bronze, copper and gold look great, but I always avoid brown with black clothes. It looks too muddy.

I wear a lot of black (my job requires that) and I agree with the green shadow suggestion. Or the red lips. Emphasis on one feature. For the green shadow, think sophie ellis baxter. But i dunno what your skin color is. Mine's very fair so I can take the green.

I wear a lot of black, too, and I'm an eyemakeup girl. Lately I've been aiming for "peacock feathers." Green to Purple with Gold and Black mascara. Dramarama!

Black is hard huh.
I agree with Clueless- Red lipstick and maybe like a brownish eye color- very light- most emphasis on the lips. Little or no blush.

I have blue eyes, coppery brown hair and pale skin... what would I wear? I keep thinking a winey red, but its impossible to find a red that suits me.

I also have a similar complexion as the girl you posted, so I usually wear gold/beige/brownish eyeshadow and kajal - natrual lip/rose gloss with black

I like the bronze, gold, and copper metallics a well as green idea.
