Holy smokes, last night's episode was another success for secret circle! i'm just hoping the writers aren't going through events too quickly, and they don't seem to run out and recycle old ones like seems to be happening with vpd.

anyhow, who do you guys think is going to be the traitor, considering the name of next week's episode?

can't believe secret circle's cancelled!!
it's ridiculous that it's already been cut just as it was getting more successful, while nikita, easily able to bore me to death, is going into it's 3rd season

Granted, The Secret Circle wasn't consistently great, but there were a lot of good episodes! Nikita had a few good episodes, but is easily very boring. I think The Secret Circle had more potential... I was excited to see what was going to happen with the circle of only Balcoin magic.

I just can't believe that boring shows like Nikita, Gossip Girl and 90210 got renewed and not The Secret Circle!

agreed! this is infuriating... especially considering TSC finale and last few episodes opened the door to sooo many good episodes & plotlines, although i only found one or 2 episodes in it's first season to not be up to par

here's to hoping someone slaps the CW in the face really hard and gives TSC another chance!

Few days ago I read it was renewed and now it's cancelled. I really didn't expect this even tough I couldn't stand the leading actress.

I loved this show I don't understand how this show got canceled over Hart Of Dixie -.- I don't get it. The finale definitely showed how much potential this show has. Such a shame.

The surprise was that Nikita (1.8 million viewers, 0.6) was renewed over freshman series Secret Circle (2 million, 0.9). Most expected one of the two to get a pickup, but the newer and higher-rated show seemed more likely to survive.

how annoying is it that of all shows, LA complex got a second season, while TSC was cancelled? la complex had waaaay lower numbers in viewers

i read the books when i was in the 5th grade, but never saw the show. the books were a fun read. from what i understand the tv episodes were way different than the books.

anyway, i would reccomend the books if you really liked the show, are really young and just want a quick read without thinking too hard.

^You're right, the show deviated from the books--way too much for my taste, actually. That's why I stopped watching the show. The central villain being Cassie's father was a MAJOR plot twist in the final book and the writers of the series just threw it in immediately with no suspense at all. Other smaller changes irked me as well. I was SO looking forward to seeing the books on screen (they were a fandom of mine before I knew what a fandom was!) and I was ready for some things to be different for a weekly series but this show just didn't work for me.

and yeah changing the locale of the story was a bit silly. i live quite close to where the books took place.

^That was another of the small changes that irritated me! Why move the location from one coast to the other? (Trying to be Twilight much?) I also greatly missed the other 6 characters that were supposed to make up the coven, too. I could go on...
