Song played on FTV

 I was watching FTV and there's a song I cant get out of my head. The song is very soulful and jazzy, its common type of music played in fashion shows. The singer is female (I beleive black) and sounds very seductive. The song must be at least 3 years old. Any help will be appreciated! Here are the following lyrics in order:

:innocent:
What time was, it when you said.
I'll be here forever, and ever and ever...
What day was, it when you said,
I will leave you forever,

the clock on the wall hides its face from me,
The hours unfold, into eternity...

Chorus: "how long is how long is how long..."

and here are more lyrics for the song in no particular order:

"The sundial don't make
Shadows on the floor
And time isn't kind to me."

"What time was it when we said
The day belongs to us
From now on and now on and now on..."

"What year was it when we said
Our lives belong to us
From now on and now on and now on..."

:innocent:

BTW, I've tried Google and other browsers and still cant find the song by its lyrics. :(

I'm sure there was a mad rush of people trying to find the name of the song. So to all of you I found it!

the first show of jennifer lopez, with a song, does somebody know which? thanks:flower:

can someone ID this song for me... i heard it on FTV for model valentina z.

goes something like this...

baby everything is alright love strike
i guess thats what you might say
she was born and raised
she says noone is better than i but i know
but i never never make my baby Cry

it was a man singing, and kind of pop rock sound...

I can only give a vague description, so sorry. I've been wanting to hear this song again for a long time.

My mom and aunt were listening to music in the car while on vacation and I think it may have been bluegrass or something (I'm uneducated with music). There was one song that was so eerie but kind of upbeat too. I'm almost sure it would be a popular song in the genre since I've heard it before. I think it was being played by a fiddle or something like that. No vocals or anything. Heelp! Any suggestions would help. Just think eerie.

I know what you mean regarding FTV playing catchy songs yet no credit is given as to what song they're playing. But I know this much, a great deal of the songs you hear on FTV is usually taken from various Hed Kandi CD's.

Hed Kandi is a collaboration of various Indy artists with underground hits that are all put together on various volumes of Cd's.

Help me find that song...

The Identify this Song thread

Is there a song that you've heard that you love but you have no idea what it is? Post as much as you knw about the song and see if TFSers can help you out!!!

I'll start:

I heard this on the radio.... it's definitely not a new song, my mom says it is 70s or early 80s... and its a male singer ... pretty slow... lyrics are
"I like .... ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ... with you" "your skin so wet" "banana and custard"

And no, its not Poison by Alice Cooper. Its such a gorgeous song though!!! please help! The DJ said it was someone like John Ireland/Island. I've googled it and I'm still stuck!
